Peugeot Boxer L3H2
Re listed due to time wasters and price lowered for quick sale!! Must go ASAP as I have a flight booked!
•First registered end of 2011
•Just done 5000 miles in the van whilst living it in no dramas. Everything functions seamlessly.
•Some minor bodywork dings here and there.
•Gloss black alloy wheels.
•MOT September 2023. No advisories on the last one.
•Lots of time and money invested for piece of mind to ensure the van was good for long term/full time off grid living and extended trips in Europe and around the UK.
•New clutch two months ago. When the van was on the ramp having the clutch done I also had everything else under the van inspected, all ok.
•Timing chain/cam belt done.
•Nearly new discs and pads.
•Bridgestone tyres with loads of tread left.
•Recent aircon recharge. Ice cold.
•As I have decided to sell I had the van plugged in and inspected again, EGR fault showed up so I have also replaced that this week. No other issues reported and is ready for adventure! Pulls like a train when you want it to, cruises nicely on long journeys and is easy around town. The cab and seats make it a lot more comfortable to ride in.
This is an extremely reluctant sale but rapidly developing career plans are forcing my hand.
As a boat builder I have ensured lot of care and attention has gone into ensuring the build is electronically and mechanically sound.
I originally built this van for myself for full time off grid van life and extended trips surfing, climbing, skiing and biking in Europe and the UK.
It was built with maximum emphasis on a functional, spacious, light and luxurious living space with masses of storage. I would not be selling if I could take it with me.
As said elsewhere in the listing lots of time and money has been spent ensuring the van is mechanically sound and reliable for my extended trips. The van speaks for itself and is very high spec but read on for details.
• Custom cab
– I did not want 3 seats.
-Upgraded driver and passenger seats registered with DVLA as a 2 seater.
-Hand stitched leather steering wheel.
-Custom bulkhead with walkthrough to living space, insulated and lined with black textured suede fabric.
• Living space
– A minimum of 30mm insulation in certain recessed areas such as the bed with most areas having at least 50mm.
-Van Demons sliding tinted window in the door.
-All units and doors are finished in unsorted pine and coated with Osmo polyx oil. Overhead doors use Hafele gas piston stays. Pull out bin door is push to open, as is the living space access to surfboard and ski storage. Drawers in the worktop unit are push to open and soft closing.
-Floating corner table for extra leg room on drivers side with two spacious seats with lift out lids for storage, one holds the lithium battery and still has masses of room in it for storage.
-Induction hob and fridge on passenger side behind the bulkhead.
-Electrics are incorporated into the bulkhead, this will be covered in a separate section.
-Above the pull out bin is a drop in storage/laundry box with fiddles around the edge to secure items from falling if left there whilst driving.
-Large under sink cupboard houses the water pump and accumulator tank (accumulator tank smooths out water flow and reduces pump running times).
-Brushed stainless steel sink with filter tap to conserve water when needed instead of full sized kitchen tap that uses excessive water. It provides plenty of pressurised water flow for normal everyday use and washing up, and is turned on and off by twisting the nozzle on the end of the tap itself for a clean look and feel.
-Opposite the worktop is a wardrobe with a hanging rail and coat hooks.
-Next to the bed there is ample shelving.
-White ceiling and wall panels are leatherette fabric.
-Large worktop/sink unit with 240v supply for kettle and toaster etc with strip lighting under overhead cupboard. The drawers are custom made in birch plywood.
-Large access to large under bed garage.
•Garage
-As you can see from the photos there is a long storage section for longer items to keep things neat and organised.
-You will notice the absence of electrics above the wheel arches maximising storage space.
-The wheel arch boxes have fiddles fitted to the top to enable storage of items.
-Two powerful lights.
-12v plug in socket on the drivers side.
•Electrics
-Probably my favourite part of the van, apart from its overall comfort.
-Genuinely high spec, no gas, no AGM or lead acid batteries. No Chinese copies anywhere and only reputable products/brands used.
-Eberspacher diesel heater with upgraded climate controller.
-Marine grade twin core wiring throughout.
-Shurflo water pump which is fed by a 60L underslung fresh water tank.
-Roamer 230ah lithium battery with Bluetooth BMS.
-Victron 30amp DCDC charger, Bluetooth.
-Victron MPPT 100/50 solar charge controller, Bluetooth.
-Victron Phoenix 12/1200 inverter. The inverter goes directly to a consumer unit which feeds the 2 gang plug socket under the hob unit and the single gang socket on the worktop.
-Photonic Universe 360 watt solar panel with Scanstrutt cable gland provides a huge amount of charge.
-Large 66L fridge with drawers for lots of secure cold storage.
-Strip lights throughout (floor, bed, worktop and above seating area). All lights are on memory touch dimmer switches (the round black fixtures in photos).
-Voice activated extraction fan. Lie in bed and control the air flow. It can move air both ways in and out of the van as it has a reverse mode with 4 speed settings in each direction. Rain sensor closes the lid of it starts raining, which can be turned off. It can also be controlled via the remote control or on the unit itself.
-2 USB/USB-C charging points situated below the heater climate control. These sockets are powerful 36w fast chargers that will charge laptops and other larger electronic items from the USB-C output.
– The ceiling lights are bright 6000k daylight LEDs that are individually touch on/off and touch dimmable with memory function.
•Final notes
-This is an extremely efficient and highly functional off grid van. I have been living in it for 5 months, even through the grey march and April. It was a 10 year van for me with many adventures planned but I am now moving away permanently.
-This van was designed and built with long term living in mind but is still also perfect for those weekend/short trips away due to its comfort and functionality, it’s an epic all rounder.
-I kept the design fairly neutral, spacious and cozy and is ready for someone else’s personal touches to be added wherever they like.
-There is probably a few things I have missed but I will update the listing as and when if needed.
