Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Nissan Primastar converted high top van. I am just over 6 foot and can stand up in it easily. Engine is 2 litres, in good condition and has recently been MOT-ed. Some service history available but all paperwork regarding repairs and upgrades is available. The van has six gears and drives along comfortably on long journeys. The van has a speed limiter of 70mph and does at least 30mpg. The vehicle has one previous owner as a campervan and was professionally converted – the quirkiness in part comes from the decoration which is quite ‘surfy’ (see pictures). Side and rear doors open for sunny days. Lots of storage. Tow bar and bike rack. Leisure battery provides 12v, fully wired with 240v to plug into the mains. Very comfortable to sleep in – bed is king size with Dunlopillo memory foam mattress cushions converting easily to a table and two comfy seats. Three ring gas hob which is handy for fancier cooking; no need for gas bottles as you fill the underslung 10 litre gas tank at a garage with an LPG dispenser. LPG also can be used to run the Dometic fridge-freezer and Propex marine-grade heater. LPG levels can be monitored using the meter fitted to the dashboard. A large water tank with grey-water storage allows real freedom when travelling. A new gas tank was fitted and a new roof light were installed in 2022. A gas safety check was carried out on the 19th July 2024. MOT’d July 2024.

Conversion Description

The van was originally converted in Cornwall and it has a lot of character. It is a high top so even if you’re tall there is no need to bend or stoop when you’re in the van. A tiled floor, large curtained windows, a good sized table, fixed seating, effective overhead and side lighting and a lot of storage including cupboards, drawers, racks and undercounter space (there is even a wine rack!) makes this a very pleasant space to spend time in both during the day and at night. Its colour makes it a safe choice when wild camping as it discreetly merges into darkness at night.

The conversion comes with a number of utilities that give the owner a lot of freedom when travelling. The three burner hob is great for cooking more than just sausage and beans (although it will do that!). You can keep your milk, butter and ice-cream cool in the Dometic fridge-freezer. The van has a pressurised water system that feeds the sink from an underslung tank which holds approximately 60 litres of water, and there is also a waste tank. Hot water is available thanks to the Propex Malaga water heater. The large sink has a spray tap on a long extension to use as an outdoor shower. The extension is neatly stored under the sink/cooker unit. The heater is Propex marine grade unit and the air vent has been upgraded. The unit is very effective at warming the van on cool evenings and in the winter. It also can be set to bring cold air into the main body of the van – very useful if travelling on hot days or in hot countries. There is a brand new underslung LPG 10 litre gas tank so you don’t need gas bottles – you can fill up at garages with LPG.

Lighting, heater, fridge, and hob lighter can be run from either the batter or the mains. Hob, fridge, and heating can be run on LPG giving you total freedom on the road.

The new leisure battery provides 12v; the van has an 240v external socket to attach to the mains (a long cable and a variety of plugs are included).

The van has been professionally checked for gas safety.
There is 12 months MOT.

Beds Description

Very comfortable king size bed, which is easily assembled as the table mechanism (which acts as part of the bed’s base) is quick to put down and put in place. The mattress is constructed from high quality Dunlopillo cushions which have memory foam on both sides meaning comfort is not compromised for sitting or sleeping. The bed is big enough for two people with one side being especially suitable for a taller person.
