Indie is an incredibly beautiful camper van, where Scandinavian styling meets pure comfort in this long wheel base camper-van, based in Stoke Newington, London. Indie boasts a toasty wood burner perfect for warming up those cooler mornings. With solar panels and a roof rack for surfboards you might want to go totally off-grid, but there’s the option of mains hook up should you need it. Her owners, a photographer and a TV Director, spent months perfecting her design; what they have achieved is a sense of spaciousness, a quiet beauty, plenty of storage and a solid kitchen which would be the envy of many a London apartment! This pet friendly London campervan is perfect for family glamping trips; she has 4 belted seats, a double bed and bunk above the main bed with barrier to stop little ones falling out. Also a Camping toilet, bedding, logs & firelighters and child seat can be added as an extra. Indie has a two saucepans, frying pan, stove coffee maker, kettle, dishes & cutlery. Plus Solar shower is always in the van for wild outdoor showers.

About the area: Indie is located in London and lives near our house in Stoke Newington, Hackney, N16. Accessible from central London via tube then short bus ride, on Victoria Line to Finsbury Park tube then 106 bus or Highbury Islington tube then 393 Bus. Or Picadilly Line to Manor House tube and walk. Stoke Newington train station is also very close. Free parking can be found a short walk away on St Kilda’s road.

Conversion Story: Indie started life as a panel van used to transport light goods and over the period of two months was converted into the camper she is today. Designed by their owners and built by a boat builder, wood was the primary theme. To get the log cabin effect they white washed the walls and used a black stain on the floor. The wooden log burner was safely installed with protective surrounds. Rusted Aluminium surrounds the fire completing the rustic feel to the van. We scoured ebay and found a three point seat belt ambulance seat for the extra seat in the back.
