Conversion description
“Jack” was professionally designed and built for us (Clare & Liz) by GV Conversions (www.gvconversions.co.uk) in 2022. It was designed for off grid living and with space, storage and comfort in mind and to be fun – hence the colour and fabric choices! Sadly we’re no longer getting enough use of Jack so have decided to sell and let someone else have adventures. Jack is two berth and perfect for weekend getaways or longer adventures. It’s been very well looked after and is in excellent condition inside and out. It’s been newly repainted inside, has a low milage, a new MoT and service.

Build
Access is through the sliding side door or via the walk through from the cab. This makes moving between the cab and living space really easy and means you don’t have to go outside when it’s raining! The cab is screened off with a thermally lined, professionally sewn cab divider curtain in matching fabric mounted on a top rail curtain track.
It’s a bright van with plenty of windows – two windows to each side plus two “port hole” windows on the rear doors. The kitchen window and bedroom windows slide open and have bug mesh. All windows have thermally lined black-out blinds.
Jack is fully insulated with 100mm Rockwool “accoustic sound slab” insulation for year-round comfort.
Laminate flooring and pine cladding to the ceiling.

Kitchen
Oiled solid oak wood top with a Mexican style tile surround.
Black sink with matching electric pump tap with sprayer head.
25 litre freshwater and 25 litre grey water tanks located under the kitchen sink for ease of access and filling/emptying.
Thetford duplex oven and grill.
Millar International 2 burner hob (runs off LPG tank).
Dometic CRX 65 12v Compressor Fridge / Freezer.
Fiamma roof vent Fan with two-way fan (Turbo-Vent 28F).
Lots of storage above and below the worktop, plus two spice racks and sink area storage containers for cloths, washing up liquid, toobrushes etc.

Sitting area
Comfy seating that maximises the available space. Professionally upholstered seat cushions (removable seat covers).
Storage beneath the seating.Oak swivel table mounted on a 360-degree swivel Lagun aluminium table base. The top and leg are removable and can be stored in the under seat storage areas.
Additional inside/outside oak table hinged from the single seat by the side door.
Six ceiling and three under cupboard LED lights which can be turned on independently.

Bedroom
The bed is a 180cm x 130cm and has an ultra-comfy “Made2Measure” memory foam mattress installed on a GV Conversions designed, welded and fabricated bed base platform. The area is screened off from the sitting room area by a partial wood partition, plus a black out curtain – handy if one of you wants to go to bed early and it keeps the bedroom warmer in the winter.

There’s a huge amount of storage, including:
1 x large over cab cupboard. Great for storing coats, bedding etc
5 x overhead storage cupboards (three in the living area and two in the bedroom).

15 litre under-slung LPG tank with fuel tank level gauge in the garage.

Electrical
The electrical system was professionally installed by GV Conversions and was designed to provide all the necessary power for off grid living. With a combination of solar gain and driving to charge the leisure battery (on cloudy days) we’ve rarely needed to use the electric hook up. However, it’s there if you need it (cable supplied). There’s a Victron BMV 712 battery monitoring system fitted in the living area. Plus all electrical usage and charge can be monitored through the Victron Connect app on your phone, tracking usage and recording solar gain to help you get the most from the off-grid system.

Heating
5kw Diesel heater, thermostatically controlled via the controller in a cupboard or with the wireless remote, which means you can turn the heating on from the comfort of the bed! The venting allows heating of the living area, under-bed & garage space all in one giving a cosy, warm dry home! The heater is connected directly to the diesel tank outlet, meaning when you fill up with diesel, you are also filling up your heating supply, too.

Huawei Wifi 4G (SIM required)

Toilet
Composting toilet, which means no harsh chemicals, easy to empty and dispose of and no components to go wrong. The toilet is built into the under-seat compartment by the side door.

Outdoor sports shower / dog wash / bike wash!
Instant on-demand hot water boiler allows a quick and easy hot shower, located on the rear driver’s side of the garage. Featuring a stainless shower head and hose, which pulls out to mount on a suction mount on the rear door, allowing you to shower down at the beach after a swim in the sea! Runs off the under-slung LPG tank, and the 25 litre water tank located in the garage.

Garage Area
Very large under-bed garage, waterproof lined with rubber coin matting. Access from the rear doors. LED lighting strip to allow ease of use day & night.
Electrical box, fuses etc and access to the mains power cut-off switches.
