This brand new van conversion is the culmination of an 18 month project to create a high spec, fully off grid, all season, luxury van conversion – that you would usually see in larger vans; but in a smaller, more convenient van that is much like your car to drive. The Vauxhall Combo LWB is a perfect base vehicle, being the largest in its class with a load length of 2.2m and payload of 1000kg. The 1.3 litre engine is cheap to run and cheap to insure.
The conversion features 300W of solar and a 40Amp battery-battery charger feeding the two 130Ah AGM leisure battery’s so you’ll never run out of power. The custom designed, handmade kitchen, includes a dual hob gas burner, 32 litre fridge and 20 litres of fresh water supplied at 30 psi through the extendable household tap, the sink also has a flush cover to maximise counter top space along with the pull out chopping board.
The sofa/bed has comfy 100mm medium-hard foam and pulls out to the size of a 2 person tent. Underneath there are 2 large storage cupboards as well as the 5kW diesel heater – this combined with the 3 layer insulation and newly fitted all season Yokohama tyres means that winter won’t stop your adventures.
