Mercedes Sprinter 311 CDI LWB
Self converted stealthy camper van conversion, converted for staying off grid. Based on a LWB sprinter that was used by a long distance delivery driver to 2009 (where most the mileage was done), when I purchased it and carried out the conversion. I’m selling it as I have two children now, and it was not converted with them in mind. The bodywork is in great condition for a sprinter. The injectors, clutch and breaks have all been done in the last 20,000 miles. It has a up-rated alternator installed to more rapidly charge the leisure batteries.
Equipment fitted : 2x110ah leisure batteries, 180w solar panel, MPPT solar charger, hot water heater (propane/butane), propex heater (propane/butane), cassette toilet, shower, sink, fridge, 3 burner gas hob (propane/butane), electric oven/grill (only usable when on main electric hook up), mains charger, TV areal and amp, sky light (with vent and blind), under slung 120l water tank. The gas work was carried out by a registered gas engineer, but I don’t have the cert.
The conversion was done by my self and my dad (a retried aircraft engineer), originally it was done for attending folk festivals, and not to look too much like a campervan when parked near my house. I used it on countless camping holidays over the last 14 years. Over time its been improved after each experience staying it it.
The seating all slides into position and lays out flat to become a bed. We liked put a memory foam mat over it for extra comfort. Sleeps 2 adults.
