Vehicle Description

I am selling my campervan after a couple of years of light use (mostly trips to the highlands) as I am not finding the time to use it since starting a new relationship (she likes hotels..). It’s main selling points, if you are looking for a Vivaro, is that it is the LWB (a foot longer) and has air con for when you are driving and electric roof ventilation when you are parked up. It is a self-build with some finishing to do so you can put your own touch and personality into it but equally it is ready to use as it is. It’s in very good condition overall, has been soundproofed, insulated and boarded/carpeted (Kiravans spec and materials) and has new brakes all round (specifics below). Never been a problem mechanically and no leaks from the roof windows. This van will last many more years and the main thing that beats most other vans is that they don’t normally have aircon! It generally does 34-42 MPG depending on town/motorway and if you are in a hurry or not. Milage approx 80,500

WORK REQUIRED:
The van is ready to use for the summer and the following are some finishing options:
The ceiling – has 12v electric cabling and sound deadening and reflective thermal insulation in place so its temperature range/acoustics are fine already but it needs completing with your desired finish. I couldn’t decide where and how to install the solar panels and what style ceiling I wanted and then ran out of time before I decided to sell. If you want to panel / carpet the ceiling then the fibre insulation (white, recycled plastic non-itch used throughout from Kiravans) and carpet (Kiravans) are provided along with some battens I made up if you want the ceiling to be flat (you will need to make some small basic battens if you want it curved)– installation of the solar panels would need to be done as a part of this task if required. You can stick battens in place as the Sikaflex range is amazing.
Needs cabinets, if wanted, down the sides after the ceiling has been installed.
Diesel heater – installed but not commissioned (only needed for proper winter campaign/alps). I don’t have a garage to enable me to do this comfortably (on-street parking). I was installing a removable fuel tank (under the bed) designed for use on boats so that you don’t have to pour diesel in the van. Needs some fiddling and fettling still. At £100-200 for a Chinese diesel heater you can probably afford to get another one to your liking or pay a professional twice that for a German one installed. I have installed a proper upgrade to the exhaust mounting so that it is a proper thick piece of steel with proper coupling and not these flimsy flat rings that come with the Chinese ones.
Sink/hob – if you want one. There is space left above the fridge (I hadn’t planned on it as I never used them in my last van) and it’s all done. There is a place designed for water storage/filling next to the sliding door and plenty of space under the bed when you open the rear doors for cooking/gas items. As a fair weather camper, I always cook outdoors and had planned to install a sliding kitchen and the bed structure has been designed to allow for that.
Alternatively if you remove the bed it’s a blank canvas already insulated and soundproofed for your own layout and choice of ceiling.
Located in Brighton & Hove.
