Conversion Description

Eat, Sleep and Be Merry
Magnum’s smooth and classy living area comprises of a kitchen and two hand-built sofas, with lift-up lids and storage underneath, one side houses the electric setup and the other the diesel heater. In the middle, a removable Sequoia table leg and solid wood tabletop that matches the kitchen worktop.
Two further 2 smaller seats complete the party, one housing the Thetford PortaPotti and the other a large child-proof storage drawer.

Stealth Mode Activated
Magnum is a true stealth camper with no outward signs that he is a campervan (unless someone is 2.4m tall and can see the solar panels on the roof…). The rear windows and side windows have removable custom-fitted black out panels that ensure you cannot be seen from the outside, even with the lights on inside – perfect for remote layby stays and on street parking if you get tired of expensive campsites!

Now We’re Cooking
Magnum’s spacious L-shaped shaker-style kitchen is completely custom-built and compromises of two good-sized cupboards (one of which houses the water tanks, the other for storage) and two large draws (one housing the fridge).
The solid beech 27mm worktop with matching upstand both have been treated with food-safe oil. A white ceramic sink and matt-black tap are supplied with cold water via an electric water pump and a two-burner black glass hob with cast iron pan support are fitted to the worktop. The corner dead space houses the gas canister in a triple-safe gas locker, accessible via the corner cupboard.
The kitchen is fully painted and fitted with matt black cast iron handles, child-proof magnets and latches to prevent opening during transit.
A carbon monoxide detector has been installed.

Storage For All Your (Physical and Emotional) Baggage
Magnum features hand-built overhead cabinets that run the full length of the van, finished in white satinwood with internal lighting. The over-cab space has been insulated and carpeted creating a large over-cab storage area perfect for bedding and towels. There is also a deep child-proof storage drawer and a oodles of space in the under-sofa cupboards.

A Sound Investment
Noise-deadening Dodomat has been applied to the entire rear of the van and bulkhead to reduce noise.
Walls are fully insulated using recycled PET bottle insulation. Ceiling is fully insulated using Kingspan insulation boards. Thermowrap has been applied to the entire rear of the van providing a vapour barrier.

Now You See Me…
Magnum’s three windows in the rear living space – on the sliding door and on both rear barn doors – are fitted with dark tinted privacy glass. The rear and side windows have removable custom-fitted black out panels that ensure you cannot be seen from the outside if you don’t want to be.

Ceiling and Lighting: Good Vibes Only
The ceiling of the van has been ply lined over the top of Kingspan insulation finished oak waxed strips were added to create a feature ceiling. This follows the natural curve of the van, is finished with matching trim, and also features a Fiamma manual vent above the kitchen area.
Four 12V spotlights are fitted to ceiling and a multi-colour LED strip runs the length of the living area with a remote control. The overhead cabinets and over-cab storage also feature internal white LED strip lighting.
Emergency motion-activated lighting can also be activated in the rear of the van.

Interior Walls and Doors:
The interior walls compromise of made-to-measure and hand-routed ply panels which have been primed and painted in brilliant white satinwood made to follow the natural curve of the van wall. The doors have been carpeted in black auto fabric with bespoke white trim in the window insets, and the sliding door has a door mat fitted to keep the inside clean and fresh.

The OG Builder
This van was converted by a talented Ford technician, carpenter and self-confessed perfectionist who started his career restoring VW campers.

Mags On Tour:
Magnum has enjoyed many happy adventures with us and his previous owners, including wild roaming can camping in Scotland, hunting hidden gems in west Wales, sunny seaside escapes in Devon and Cornwall and an incredible campervan experience at Glastonbury festival 2023.

Magnum has been a wonderful adventure van for us and we are only selling to unlock the cash for a house deposit 😉
