This super stylish camper has undergone a major redesign this year with a beautiful raw wood feel. The wood is treated and the interior was freshly decorated in the summer.
The van has been designed with space and storage in mind. It is extremely space-savvy and ideal for a family of four or five. With six spacious, overhead storage cupboards, a large cupboard with three shelves easily fitting large bags or two Ikea Trofast tall trays per shelf (handy for kids clothes and toys, or as a pantry!), two kitchen cupboards, a cupboard with two water tanks for the sink, and a cupboard accessed from the sliding door to gas bottle and shelf for shoes. There is a massive overhead cupboard above the cab which is perfect for coats, blankets and spare bedding. The rear seats also have plenty of space underneath for the lower bunk mattress, two sleeping bags and pillows.
The boot/garage is very spacious and stores spare water tanks, wet suits, bodyboards, five camp chairs, parasol, outdoor rug, pushchair, mini hoover, camp table and boots/wellies.
The PortaPotty toilet is handily kept at the bottom of the tall cupboard on the floor and can be easily slid in and out. No ugly toilet on display! It offers good privacy behind the back seats and easy to access for all in the middle of the night.
The sink is pumped – cold water only but you can fill the sink with kettle water if you want to have a wash or wash up. Itโs perfect for washing hands and brushing teeth. Itโs been ideal for when weโre off grid.
The double gas hob has a gas certificate. The lift-up worktop offers further workspace when preparing meals and the amount of storage has meant we can eat yummy family meals, especially with the good size fridge/freezer.
All the beds are really comfy – the fixed, larger-than-a-double bed has a memory-foam mattress that is very comfy. We had top and bottom recesses built in to the design to ensure my six foot husband could sleep comfortably. The bottom bunk is enjoyed by our tall nine year old who enjoys listening to his stories and watching films under there with a little night light – it gives him enough privacy and is is very den-like for him. The top bunk sleeps our tall seven year old (and one of us adults sometimes too!). Itโs lovely in the evenings used as a-bit of a sofa too.
The back seats, both with three point seatbelts, have a table which means the kids can use when travelling or we can use to sit around if the weather is wet. The front three seats swivel so all five of us easily fit around it to eat or play board games. The table can be easily removed and stored when the beds are set up. Or if we throw all five bikes in the back to go out for the day! The floor space is brilliant!
The front cab has three seats and lots of space. Thereโs good storage and the new reverse cam is ideal for reversing out of places/parking – itโs a game-changer! The van has parking sensors, dashcam and sat nav. Good Bluetooth and CD/radio system. It drives really nicely.
The roof decking is fun for summer sunbathing or chilling out reading a book/picnicing overlooking beautiful views. The roof also has the large solar panels that are incredibly effective and keep you off grid for several days.
There is a Kador rail fitted with a Stitches & Steele awning, plus camping chairs and table.
For safety and security there is a Ghost 11 Immobiliser, factory alarm and wheel lock.
The Maxxair fan is incredible on very hot days! My parents replaced their air con unit for the same fan as itโs so efficient! In the colder months, the diesel heater and excellent insulation means youโll be snug as a bug!
Weโve enjoyed 18months of fun travels and day trips as a home educating family of five, and have only just enjoyed the redesign since the summer. So much research was put in to the design to make it perfect for our family of five. We have invested a lot in the professional conversion and are so pleased with the outcome so Iโm pretty heartbroken to be selling it but our eldest has started at an independent school and we now cannot afford to run it and need the money to contribute to his education. I really hope the next owner will be able to enjoy this special van as much as we have!
Please get in touch with any questions – Iโm sure Iโve missed something! Thank you for perusing!
1 x fixed double bed with memory foam mattress
1 x slide-out bunk bed (top bunk sleeps two children or one adult and a child, and bottom bunk sleeps one child).
