Nissan Primastar conversion 98k miles 7 months MOT

Hello, thank you for your interest in our van! It was a lockdown project and we’ve had some fantastic trips in it, but our circumstances have changed and sadly we have to let her go.

The van

-2.0l diesel
-98,000 miles
-MOT until September 2023
-Last service at 93,000 miles
-4 new tyres installed 2021
-Bodywork in excellent condition (pictures show reflection not fading/scratches)
-Extremely reliable with no issues at all
-Former electrician’s van (not used for building work or transporting heavy items)

The conversion

-Sound deadened with Dodo mat
-Under-floor insulation with Kingspan rigid insulation boards
-Pine floor frame topped with marine ply and covered with sheet vinyl
-Walls and doors insulated with earthwool and Reflectix (reflective double aluminium bubble insulation foil)
-Walls and doors professionally lined with plywood and auto carpet
-Tinted, bonded windows in sides and rear door fitted by Van Windows Specialists in Castleford

Electrics

-240v hook up and all cables included in sale
-Small consumer unit in cupboard powers single plug socket above worktop and single socket in cooler cupboard
-12v lighting in ceiling connected to main vehicle battery
-Sink powered by rechargeable Beaudens portable power station which also keeps devices charging when off grid (power station not included in sale)
-Powered coolbox runs from the 240v when on hook-up or ice packs when off grid

-Premium birch treated rock and roll bed by Camperluxe with storage underneath. Folds up into comfortable seating.
-Premium birch fixed and treated wardrobe and double sink unit with domestic sink

Sales pitch!

-We focused on high quality, practicality and simplicity. For this reason we decided not to install a leisure battery, instead opting for a 240v hook up system for longer stays, and rechargable power for quick trips.

-Our Beaudens portable power station will run the sink tap pump and charge all phones/devices for at least two weeks. This is not included in the sale, but can be purchased new online for around £150.

-We decided not to install an integrated fridge as these are usually very small inside. The powered coolbox has more room in it and can obviously be taken out if you want chilled beers on the beach, for example.

-We use fairy lights and a rechargeable lamp on an evening.

-We chose not to install an inbuilt hob because cooking in such a small space would be impractical and unpleasant. Instead we use a portable gas camp stove and cook outdoors, or if absolutely necessary we could use it in the van on the worktop next to the sink.
