VW Crafter CR35 TDI, MWB, High Roof
My beloved 2014, Euro 5 diesel, VW Crafter has a 1968cc engine and 6 forward gears with a current recorded emissions level of 216 g/km. Their is only a partial service history as the previous family run business owners conducted their own maintenance however the engine is in excellent condition and the on board electrics are typical of any VW crafter of its age. The body work is in good condition and with a small investment could be returned to perfect (their are a few minor scratches as you would expect from being parked on the streets of London, the price reflects these blemishes). The vehicle has aftermarket van guard locks that secure the rear of the camper.
The MOT is due in Jan 22, but can be renewed at my cost if required. A full service of the vehicle was conducted in March 2021, with no major or minor faults found.
Skye was converted during the first covid lockdown on the side of the road in Brixton allowing us to escape the city as soon as restrictions allowed. We have taken Skye all over the UK and couldn’t be more pleased as for a MWB Camper she packs an enormous punch. Off-grid wild camping in Skye is no problem with the “Windy Smithy ยฉ” multi-fuel burner to keep you warm on the coldest of nights, hot and cold water running to the built in shower and domestic kitchen sink, removable Simploo ยฉ composting toilet, twin gas hob burner, 12v fridge and full 12/24v electric system run of 2x 148AH leisure batteries, you have everything you need for hitting the road and not turning back. If parking up at a camp site is your thing, Skye has a full electric hook up to keep your electrics going 24hrs a day as well as solar capacity and a split charge relay to top up your charge when on the road. A 70L water tank under the left hand bench, provides adequate water supply whilst your grey water drains into the 150L waste water tank under vehicle on the drivers side. The U shape seating area easily converts into a sizable bed at night but comfortably seats 4 for lunch during the day. The table leg clips in neatly on the kitchen unit, whilst the table top slides next to the wood burner when not in use. Included in the price are all the necessary cooking utensils, cushions and bedding, meaning Skye is ready for an adventure from when you pick up.
