Off Grid Camper - 2014 Citroen Relay

For sale is my self-built Citroen Relay camper, I have previously worked for a professional campervan conversion company so you can be assured that this van has been built to last!

Over the last couple of years, I have been working as an outdoor instructor and have travelled all over the country with this van, including multiple trips to Scotland. In that time she has not missed a beat and does equally well sat on the motorway with cruise control or hauling up single-track lanes in national parks. Inside, the camper is very spacious with a huge amount of storage options (including a large boot area that is great for storing kit). There is a fixed single bed which means you can jump straight into bed after a long day without any setup, or it can be pulled out to make a double bed if there are two of you.

This size vehicle (L1H1) is really versatile as it’s the largest van that still fits within a standard parking space, so you have a huge amount of interior space but it’s still very manageable up single-track mountain roads or Cornish lanes. The vehicle comes with a full-service history and has been regularly serviced and looked after throughout its life.

My ethos when building this van was that I wanted to be just as comfortable on or off campsites. The Yuasa leisure battery is charged whilst you drive and via a 120W solar panel with a Victron charge controller, so paired with a very efficient (brand new) compressor fridge the system can sustain itself easily. Heating is also available at the push of a button with a diesel heater installed inside and connected to the main diesel tank, so you don’t have to worry about filling anything extra up or spilling fuel. Paired with very warm “Cosywool” Sheeps Wool insulation, this camper is ready for trips year-round. There is also an external hook-up point that provides mains power and battery charging (Victron 7-stage charger with Bluetooth app) for when you are on campsites or want to top up at home.
