The Van has had one owner from New. I purchased this van new for my Company and has it been used for furniture deliveries.It has only been driven by a handful of staff.
All major services carried out. After an engine failure in 2020 It had a brand new engine, clutch and turbo fitted so it has covered around 15,500 miles on the new engine. I have all the receipts for this work.
The engine has been remapped to around 185HP. It has masses of power but also returns very good fuel economy when driven sensibly. Driving steadily and sticking to speed limits, 32 -36mpg is easily achievable. It drives extremely well with a great distribution of weight. MOT’d until July 2023.
There a few paint chips and marks on the exterior but overall looks really good.
4 Nearly new tyres
Conversion carried out this year using all brand new equipment. It has been used a few times for trial purposes.
The base vehicle is the Trend variation which has a higher level of trim and specification than other models. These include cruise control, speed limiter, electrically operated and heated doors mirrors, front and rear reversing sensors etc.
I have owned this van from new , I know the full history of the vehicle. Having taken delivery of a new larger Luton type van for deliveries, I decided to carry out the conversion on this van as a project. My Company designs and manufactures high quality bespoke furniture in our Derbyshire based workshop and delivery all over the UK. I spent 100’s of hours researching the design and build of similar size vans and compiled a list of all the best features that could be fitted into the design. If anyone needs to know how to do this work professionally and to the highest standard I would recommend searching on YouTube for Greg Virgo. Although his van was a sprinter he has been a massive source for inspiration and technical knowhow for me!
The van was completely stripped internally and thoroughly cleaned.
Sound deadening panels fitted
Full set of tinted bonded windows installed to give a stunning external appearance.
Floor constructed from 25mm Celotex insulation and 12mm marine ply covered with a bonded vinyl floor
Walls filled with a combination of 50mm Celotex and 100mm Rockwool Insulation
Ceiling constructed from 50mm Celotex and lined.
Complete foil vapour barrier installed.
Bench Seat changed to single passenger seat so the rear can be accessed without the need to leave the van. Swivel bases fitted to both front seats.
Internal fit out has been constructed mainly from Moisture resistant MDF board with a light grey AC lacquer sprayed finish for maximum durability. Edge trims used on all exposed edges.
The van has been designed for prolonged off grid use with 320W roof mounted solar panels and battery to battery charging.
The electrical system comprises 12V and 240V supplies from the leisure batteries or shore line hookup. The 2000W Renogy Inverter is auto switching with a UPS function so it will automatically detect source and switch between hook up and leisure batteries. The main controller is a Sargent EC155 power supply unit. Solar charging is via Photonic Universe 30A MPPT controller and there is an additional Portable Power Technology shore line charge for when the hookup is active.
Hot and cold water is pumped from the 100 litre water tank via a Shurflo pump with filter na expansion vessel. This supplies the Truma heater, sink tap and shower. The main kitchen mixer tap has a pull out feature that will reach outside of the van. There is an additional electric drinking water tap that is fed from a 10 litre bottle stored in the cupboard under the sink. This can be filled with mineral water so you always have fresh water to drink.

High level bed to the rear measuring 1.7 metres wide x 1.8 metres long. You can comfortably sleep width ways or lengthways. The bed is constructed on metal support rails with curved wooden bed slats support a high quality memory foam mattress. The mattress is in two sections zipped together so it can easily be removed together with the support rails and slats and stored to give a full height boot space if required.It takes less than 10 minutes to fully remove or reinstall the bed.
