Engine recently inspected and overhauled, we have fitted a brand new cam belt, full engines service including all air and oil filters and engine oil change, Mechanical certificates provided in January 2023 by the mechanic. Drives like a brand new vehicle with long MOT next due in January 2024. Bodywork in great condition with minimal scratches or marks, body work recently professionally polished. We have transformed this vehicle into a completely off grid and intelligent home on the road. The full specification includes Sargent Ec155 Control Unit with Intelligent Controls. 75 litre under mounted fresh water storage tank and 75 litre waste water tank both complete with water sensors so no need to worry about your water storage levels. The home is also fitted with 200 watt solar panels on the roof and a 1500 watt inverter for the times when you are completely off grid. If however you are on a campsite, you can easily plug into the siteโs 240 volt system with ease, this hook will then charge both of the leisure batteries, it has 2 x 110 amp hour leisure batteries. For ease and assistance when reversing we have installed a Boscam wireless reverse camera. The van has also been fully insulated in all doors and side panels and the roof.
For cooking the vehicle comes fitted with a Dometic combined double gas hob with integrated sink and tap. Hot water is provided by a Truma, Ultrastore 10 litre heating unit which will run on mains 240 power or with 12 volt power and LPG and is fully thermostatically controlled. The control system monitors your battery levels so with the push of a button you can see what your charge levels are both for the vehicle and leisure batteries. It will also sound an alarm if the batteries are getting low or if you are running low on fresh water or have too much waste water. It also comes with a fridge which is discreetly tucked away next to the kitchen pod. The kitchen pod comes fitted with and oak work surface and also has a kitchen extension bar which is removeable also in oak. In the front section of the campervan we have built oak dining table which is removeable but comfortably seats four people around it at meal times. Lighting is provided using 12 volt led lights which are mounted below all of the over head lockers and cabinets, the storage area above the driverโs cab also has its own 12 volt led light as does the bathroom. In the dining area we have added further stair lights which look fantastic at night.
The bathroom comes complete with Thetford CS200 Cassette toilet with automatic flushing system, ceramic wash hand basin and shower. The shower, wash hand basin and kitchen sink are powered by a Sure flow pump system with water sensors and delivers maximum flow up to 7 litres per minute when required, giving a really great shower. The bathroom is also fitted with a Whale Gulper undermounted pump so if you are parked on an incline or slope, your waste water will always be pumped away no matter where you are. All sanitary fittings are backed up with the Sargent intelligent control system so with the press of a button you can see how much fresh water you have on board, the system also sets off an alarm when you are running low on fresh water or high on waste water.
For those colder evenings we have installed a 5 kw warm air convector which is powered by diesel and is very cost effective to run, the diesel is drawn from the main diesel tank of the van and not a separate tank. It has 5 power settings going up to a maximum of 5 kw which is more than adequate for the size of campervan. It also comes with a key fob remote control for ease of use you can control the heater from anywhere inside the van.
The campervan is fitted with a double bed to the rear of the van onto which we have fitted a thick mattress, upgraded with a layer of memory foam for a really great nightโs sleep. To the front of the van the driver and passenger seats spin around creating even more room in the cabin, where we have also fitted a further double seat with 2 seat belts. This seat also pulls out into another bed which would be great for 1 or 2 children. All of the windows come fitted with window tints so you have complete privacy when inside the van and also black out curtains for the evening. The van has a factory fitted roof light which also opens up for added ventilation. Storage is provided with the installation of 4 large overhead lockers and a full kitchen pod with 2 larger cupboards underneath and 1 smaller drawer, further storage is provided to the rear of the van and located under the bed. The front seat \ bed also has great storage space and further space is available above the cab within the van. All of the cabinets and overhead lockers have been professionally built using a CNC machine and a good quality 15 mm light weight ply specifically used for campervans and motor homes. All of the units care fitted with a locking system so the doors do not fly open when you are driving and they also have soft close door hinges.
The van was formerly used as a 14 seater minibus and was on lease to Cumbria County Council but was not used everyday hence the low mileage. It was serviced on a regular basis and has been very well looked after. As for the conversion as a former house interior builder, plumber and Gas Safe engineer, I have had many years of experience of creating stunning interiors but where required I have sort professional help hence all of the joinery has been built by a factory. The van has been converted to a very high standard and is a fully off grid Campervan.
The interior is constructed from driftwood grey lightweight ply and has solid wood dining table, kitchen extension arm and and kitchen pod work surface. To the rear of the campervan there is a fixed double bed with a brand new memory foam mattress and to the front of the van there is a further pull out bed suitable for 1 or 2 smaller children although 1 adult can also fit on that bed.
