I built it with the intention of using public toilets and showers as I didn’t want the hassle of emptying a cassette and the smell it would create in the van. I also noticed most showers in campers go unused and take up a lot of space and it’s much easier to use a campsite, leisure centre or a lake to wash.
Although the camper van is currently insured as an MPV it is very easy to get insured at the same price as a motorhome with all the same benefits.
