Off-grid VW Crafter LWB 95k miles – perfect for tall mountaineers!

This is the perfect van for off-grid adventures. It has been converted to a high standard and is warm and comfortable – especially in bad weather! Huge double bed perfect for >6ft tall adults.

Exterior features: 2x tinted rear side windows, side door window, rear ladder, large roof box, 2x large solar panels, large awning, 2x roof air vents.

Electrical systems: three leisure batteries charged by solar panels, leisure battery circuit separate from engine battery, isolator switch for third backup battery, 1000kw inverter with two plugs, battery charger for leisure batteries when on hook up, isolator fuse for hookup, long hookup cable included, 2x plugs in the rear for use on hookup, USB chargers.

Entertainment: 12V TV with built-in DVD player, Bluetooth stereo system with surround sound, LED lighting throughout.

Kitchen: fitted fridge/freezer, 2x gas hobs & sink, gas oven, plenty of storage cupboards and drawers.

Bathroom: shower & cassette toilet with electric flush.

Fuel: underslung LPG tank for heating & hot water. Blown air heater with two vents in the rear and – my favourite feature – one vent in the bathroom to dry wet kit!

Water: very large water tank perfect for longer trips. Water heater runs off gas or electricity if using hook-up. No grey water tank as designed for off-grid use however a bucket can be used in campsites.

Other features: reversing camera, rotating (captain’s) passenger seat, middle seat removed for easy access between cab & rear, curtains & blinds for all windows, bike rack on rear ladder, custom-made leather seat covers, masses of storage space for gear under bench seats & in cupboards, well insulated throughout, other security & safety features.
