Land Rover Defender 110 TD5
Well looked after Land Rover 110 TD5 in fantastic condition
2.5L TD5 engine
5 gear manual
This Land Rover has been exceptionally well looked after. It has recently had a full service and health check, along with a new clutch and flywheel (genuine land rover parts fitted).
The vehicle has recently had a full respray/colour change to the lovely Keswick Green with black details that you see on this ad. Therefore the bodywork is in near perfect condition. Any signs of rust/imperfections have been treated and removed to bring this Land Rover back to an incredibly good condition.
As is very common with the TD5 engine, it has been tuned to increase horsepower, and has a performance intercooler and straight exhaust, making this a great example to drive.
The body, cab and footwell have been sound deadened, reducing road noise significantly.
MOT valid through November 2025. (Colour change from White to green logged with DVLA and present on new V5c).
Stunning overland conversion of Land Rover Defender 110.
This conversion has been well fitted with quality components throughout including a full Victron energy off-grid electrical system with induction hob.
The conversion has a large sideways sofa with 2″ commercial fabric cushions, allowing them to be used inside and out. The sofa easily converts into a comfortable small double (standard size) to sleep 2 adults. Next to this there is a large kitchen unit running the length of the rear. This has significant storage for a vehicle of this size (3 cupboards plus a higher cupboard above the worktop.
In terms of storage there are the 4 kitchen cupboards, a large slide out locking drawer that doubles as a second kitchen counter, a large cubby box between the passenger and driver, and Molle panel on the wall with 3 storage bags (other attachments available).
A high quality Stainless Steel sink and folding tap has been fitted from german company; Queensize Camper, along with a queensize camper external shower point.
The water tank is a 40L custom tank fitted in the forward space between the wheelarch. This is fitted high so does not affect the ground clearance. The pump is a shurflo trail king.
There are no holes cut into the outside of the vehicle for fill point etc, we wanted to ensure this purely looked like a Land Rover Defender without extensive campervan modifications distracting from the look of the vehicle. The Victron Energy shore power hook up is located behind the drivers seat in a neat custom panel, and the water fill point is connected via a hose connection next to the tank (hidden on the underside).
The electrical system comprises of the following: (FULL Victron Energy system)
200ah LifePO4 battery
50 amp Orion XS (DCDC Charger)
75/15 amp MPPT
115W solar panel
1600va multiplus inverter/mains charger
Cerbo GX
Cerbo Touch 50 control panel
Blue Sea Systems fusing and circuit protection
There is an 800w portable induction hob which can be used inside or out on the sliding drawer. There are 2 x double 240v sockets allowing for use outside the van or in. There are two reading lights with USB sockets, and an additional USB socket added for use whilst driving (in the centre console).
There have been extensive exterior modifications to the defender as well, primarily for aesthetics. The whole van has been resprayed in a spectacular Keswick green with jet black details (bonnet treadplate, hinges, wheel arches). a NAS rear step has been added spanning the width of the door. A rear wheel carrier has been added (swing out type to eliminate stress on rear door hinges) plus spare alloy wheel and new off-road tyre. The front grill has been upgraded to suit a more modern aesthetic. a modular roof rack from Days on Tracks sits on top, allowing you to easily add a variety of attachments (roof tent, light bars etc). On the rear of the van, L track has been added with 2 x bike fork mounts, allowing you to easily mount 2 bikes to the rear (you can also easily add fork mounts to the roof rack). There are custom MOLLE panels mounted to the side of the vehicle (4 of) via L track. These allow you to mount off-road essentials like MaxTrax and additional storage boxes.
In the cab, there have been significant modernisations. a bluetooth head unit has been fitted, along with a twin USB port for charging. Seat foam has been changed and the seats have been upholstered in a sand coloured leather, along with details on the dash, and door cards. The centre cubby box has been custom made with cup holders in to match the rest of the interior aesthetic and to maximise storage space.
There are a few decisions we have made when converting this van that as a potential buyer you should be aware of: There is no pop top – this is a very conscious decision, we elected to install a high quality roof rack and solar panel instead of a pop top, which allows you to load up the roof with as much gear as you like. Defenders are by nature a small van, therefore maximising storage in our opinion is essential. That’s why everywhere you can think of there is the ability to add storage. Also when considering the use of the vehicle, we chose not to install a diesel heater or hot water. In our eyes this is primarily a spring/summer/autumn vehicle and being a small well insulated space, a heater is not worth the space compromise. That said, we are happy to quote for installing a 2kw diesel heater and water heater (calorifer). We have not installed this yet to give the buyer the option.
All the cabinets are made from lightweight poplar plywood (garnica) and laminated with HPLaminate. The Worktop is a high quality grey corian with a sink cut-out that doubles as a chopping board. The walls of the rear are upholstered in the same leather as used in the cab to keep style consistent, and the headliner is upholstered in a man-made suede flex.
There is a 20L Vitrifrigo drawer fridge situated underneath the seating unit, perfect for keeping drinks cool whilst on the open road!
Please feel free to get in touch if you’d like any further information or a video tour. It’s an incredibly capable vehicle with extensive work carried out inside and out. Thanks! Onyx Vans
A good size sofa turning into a small double bed but with good length (1900 x 1220w), with room to hang feet over into cab, as bulkhead has been removed and reinforced.
There are also 2 side facing belted seats to the rear, and if you wanted you could add a roof tent to the top on the existing roof rack.
