SLEEPING
Peggy has two beds – An almost full size king double bed which is 5 feet wide and a little over 6 feet long with a memory foam mattress. The bed is the full width of the van at the rear.
The other bed is made up of the two fixed dining seats with the additional centre piece.
STORAGE
Peggy is blessed with loads of storage from 2 large overhead lockers, under seat storage, an under sink cupboard, under hob cupboard and an under bed garage as well as large deep over-cab storage.
OTHER
Peggy has a propex heater which keeps us toasty in winter and dries off the dogs nicely after a long walk. The dogs have a large, removable cage which is secure for travel.
There is a removable loo under one of the table seats.
Peggy is much loved and adored. She was converted, weighed, got her gas certification and registered as a motor caravan in 2018. She started life as a joiners van travelling about the West Coast of Scotland. She was then converted by James and Anita at Quirky approved converters Rustic Simplicity to the specification of her artist previous owner. They had the bubble gum tweed woven by a friend on the Isle of Harris, one of her daughters engraved the flowers on the wood and another painted the flowers inside the cupboards. Dogs are important too so there is a removable dog crate under the bed with access from both inside and the rear. There is also a removable dog gate which expands to enclose the side door. Whilst there is no current gas certificate Peggy was previously listed on Quirky for hire so she was certified whilst rented.
She has a propex heater, 2 gas hobs, fridge freeser, water, 120w solar panel, USBs front and back, two batteries (both replaced last year), a reversing camera, lights all over the place, 12V shower plug in the back, etc etc but photos will tell her story better than I can describe here. She is decorated with hand woven Harris tweed, the kitchen is made from old whisky barrels and natural oak which smell delicious, and the insides of her cupboards are a riot of colours and painted with love. Peggy is a haven of peace, somewhere we all sleep our best sleeps. The dogs know that when they get in that it’s time to go on new adventures. The decision to sell Peggy was a sad one, but new things beckon and so the journey continues. Weighbridge certificate available.
