Selling my beloved van
I’ve loved every second in this van, it’s the second van I’ve built and after spending a lot of time in campers I have refined and improved things that have bothered me in the last van.
I’m a carpenter, which becomes obvious the moment you step inside. The interior is beautifully crafted with a unique, cozy wooden aesthetic, balanced with smart, practical features you don’t often find in a van with this style interior, gaining lots of compliments everywhere I go.
This van isn’t for you if:
You prefer a modern, minimalist style over bespoke craftsmanship
You want a shower (you could add a chemical toilet, but not a shower)
You’re over 5’10” (178 cm) the double bed is 181 cm long
–
But this van is for you if:
You apprecite fine craftsmanship and timber finish
You love practical design like the table that folds out into a giant, seamless worktop
You like a bit of luxury on the road, full-size fridge, freezer space, and yes, room for a tub of Ben & Jerry’s
You’re like me and need a sink that’s big enough to be practical
THE CONVERSATION:
Oak flooring, worktop, and table
Salvaged oak table leg (a detail I’m proud of)
Swivel seats comfortably seats 4 around the table
Table folds out to create a huge kitchen worktop (my favourite feature)
Tons of smart storage throughout
Double-glazed plastic windows with integrated fly nets and blackout blinds hidden behind beautiful wood trim (see photos)
Large sink
High-pressure tap with a 1-micron water filter small enough to remove microplastics from these horrible plastic camper water tanks
Soft-close drawers and cupboards
Gas locker
—
THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:
435W of solar
MaxxFan
Gas alarm
Diesel heater
Dotless LED lights
230V sockets (runs appliances up to 1000W)
Renogy 1000W inverter
Victron Smart Charger
Victron MPPT with Bluetooth monitoring
Victron DC-DC charger
Full-size under-counter fridge with freezer compartment
