Professionally Converted Rare MWB Fiat Ducato

George (the van) was beautifully converted one year ago by Northern Conversions and is capable of being completely off grid but also has an external electric hookup for nights you are on a campsite. I have used it throughout winter and have had everything I need to keep me warm, dry and comfortable.

The kitchen consists of a large stainless steel sink with a tap which is easily changed from spray to one stream of water and can be pulled out the door as an external shower when required. This is run on an electric system with a switch to turn on the pump and a 20L fresh water tank. Waste water can be diverted either into a waste water tank or out the bottom of the van. The water system is accessible from inside and outside the van making changing water easy and stress free. There is a two burner gas hob connected to a propane gas bottle in a locker at the back of the van which has a kill switch if there was to be a crash. A gas safety certificate will be provided along with a fire blanket and extinguisher. Above the hob is a strong magnetic knife rack which will hold knives and scissors whilst driving. The 50L Vitrifrigo fridge/freezer is stowed under the counter and runs off 12 volt power with very low consumption. The worktop is extendable next to the sink so you can have glorious side door views when cooking. There is a detachable table which stores behind the drivers seat when not in use. This hooks onto a bar next to the sofa and has a flip down leg to keep it stable. The passenger seat swivels 360 degrees as an alternative seating option, the extendable worktop can then be used as a table.

The diesel heater is located under the bench seat, which seats two, blowing warm air out by your feet and heats the space quickly. The van is well insulated and has a layer of Reflectix to act as a vapour barrier. The seat for the cushion was custom made and has a matching, durable cover with the cab curtain.

The electrical system is run off two leisure batteries stored in the garage within a wooden casing. These are charged through the two 100W solar panels on the roof, the split relay which will kick in when driving or the external hookup on the rear drivers side of the van. 6 LED lights work on two different systems with dimmer switches and a remote control. There is also a separate reading light above the bed. The Maxxair fan in the centre of the van has 11 speeds, can pull air in or out, has a built in rain cover and is remote controlled for convenience. There are two 240v plug sockets for household appliances, one on each side of the van. 6 USB sockets are placed throughout the van, in the bedroom, by the sofa and in the kitchen.

There is ample storage throughout the van with a large shelf above the cab, a long shelf above the bench seat, three large shelves within the cupboard beneath the hob, 4 open shelves beneath the bed facing into the living space, a large draw above the fridge and further cupboard space under the sink. The garage is also spacious for anything you do not need direct access to.

There is a 15L safe hidden and secured within the van, two keys will be provided. There is a smoke alarm, carbon monoxide alarm, fire blanket and fire extinguisher provided. It is very easy to get from the cab into the living area and back again without having to go outside between the two cab seats. The van is speed limited to 65mph.
