This vehicle has only had two owners the first Devon County Council , Social Services as a mini bus ,it was serviced at a LDV main agents in Exeter , there is some service history with it.I have owned it since 2020.It has a Ford Duratorq 2.4 litre diesel engine , which goes extremly well and is very economical, the gearbox is again a 5 speed Ford I think . It has rear air suspension with springs to the front , the chassisis is steel and is rust free and has been under sealed. The body is glass fibre apart from the cab ,and is there for very easy to repair should the need arise. It has been resprayed in dark grey and was originally white. There is a split charging system fitted , a 12 volt battery for startng and two 80 amp hour batteries for lesuire use.The engine is fitted with an imobilizer .
The interior is fitted with two bunk berths ,both 6 feet by 3 feet , there is a gas hob and grill with an on board 50 litre propane tank and a gas safety certificate. The roof insulation and the sides are as per the manufacture but the sides and rear have been lined with ply wood and the cavity between insulated with sheeps wool , with a few small spaces insulated with spray foam .This means it is very warm and cosy. The sink has pressure cold water only but it would be very easy to add hot water to the sink. There is a 3 way fridge ,with several storage lockers and cupboards and draws . It has a toilet compartment with a new cassette toilet.There is a hanging locker with a book shelf above.There are three side seats where the table goes for dining, this being collapsible and can therefore be used outside ,with two chaires. There are two TV,s one 240 volt and one 12 volt with a top spec aerial . There are 6 of 12 volt internal lights and 1 LCD light .there is one 240 volt flurescent light over the kitchen area . There is a new Dab radio and CD player with 4 speakers .The vehicle weight is 2880 kgs and will have 1 years MOT with it. It is in very good condition and looks great.There is a spare wheel and jack also. There is twin cycle carrier at the rear. It is priced to sell.
This is a rare LDV Convoy 400 series TD 3.5 T Mini bus ,with only one previous owner ,Devon County Council social services . There is a lot of service history with it that has been done by a LDV main agent in Exeter.The suspension is air packs to the rear and leaf springs to the front. The vehicle has been resprayed in dark grey . The rear accomodtion part of the body is built of glass fibre and is very easy to repair should the need arise ,the chassis has been under sealed in black and is rust free ,there is a good spare wheel on an under vehicle carrier.
The original mini bus was well insulated to the roof and the sides, the roof being as the original ,how ever the rear doors have removed and lined with ply wood along with both sides the cavity between has been insulated with sheeps wool and in some difficult places spray foam insulation , this makes it snug and warm. There are 6 12 volt internal lights and one 12 volt LED light all with there own on / off switches. There are also 4 ,radio cd player speakers ,with a new DAB radio.On the near side of the campervan is the kitchen area a gas hob and a sink with pumped cold water only , also lockers and various cupboards and drawers , the toilet compartment is to the front of this with a new cassette toilet, to the front of this the slideing entry door and steps.
On the offside there are 3 none belted seats, with a large locker under , these are used for dining when the table is in position , this is about 24″ X 48″ and can be erected out side for picnics if required along with two fold up chairs, also a hanging locker with book shelves above . There is an on board 50 litre propane tank under the vehicle.Behind the driver are the two belted passenger seats and above these is the 240 volt TV with a top notch tv ariel which goes through the roof and gives very good recepetion , there is also a 12 volt TV in a locker.
The pasenger seats have a small fixed fold down table to the side of them . This vehicle has full standing head room , it drives very well and is low on fuel consumption , it will have 1 years MOT on it when sold and is in very good condition and an eccellent starter van for two people.There is a cycle rack to rear for two adult cycles.
