RARE UNIQUE SKOOLIE CONVERSION RV

The renovation of this motorhome has been undertaken by a professional carpenter and builder, alongside an iron monger (for the main door and height extension) to a very high standard over a period of five years. It has also had its roof raised by 20cm to accommodate very tall individuals.

All the walls, floor and ceiling have fully insulated. 50mm PIR insulation board for the walls. The floor with 50mm PIR and 18mm T&G and the ceiling with 40mm. It has solid wood throughout. The walls are also comprised of 18mm ply wood and painted and preserved throughout.

The ARK is completely capable of being totally off-grid, with solar panelling (2 x 400 watt solar panels & Victron Multiplus 3000 kw inverter/charger) to supply all 240V and 12v requirements and includes a colour control panel.

The beautiful Salamander Hobbit Wood Burner (4kw) supplies all your heating, which has a 22mm slate fire surrounded with insulation and air gap.

It has a comfortable seating area around the fire, for eight persons.
A fully equipped oak kitchen, with gas oven, grill and four ringed hob (Thetford) which also features two larders, one of which is full in length from floor to ceiling.
There is a huge amount of clever storage throughout the ARK, with custom made solid wood drawers under all the kitchen units.

The entrance houses a beautiful, bespoke cloakroom, with plenty of storage for wellies and shoes and further storage over the driver’s seat. The original entrance door has been converted into bespoke solid door with Yale locks by a professional Ironmonger.

Beautiful hand-made bespoke shelves have been lovingly installed throughout the ARK, made of various woods including oak.

Uniquely this mobile home/RV also houses a fully functioning washing machine (Hwash 500 Hoover). And it also features a Retro style Inlander 12v Swan fridge / freezer and Russell Hobbs microwave.

All the beds accommodate those over 6ft 5”. There are bunk beds with shelves and two drawers under the bottom bunk. The king size bed also has plenty of storage at the end. All the beds have new memory foam mattresses.
Alongside the king size bed is a double wardrobe, separate shelving for more storage of clothes, drawers and hanging area. Further storage can be found under the main bed and there is also a single wardrobe with shelves.

By the back door, there is also a beautiful bespoke oak pull-out table.

The shower room houses a composting toilet, a small hand sink and a full length power shower (70x70cm shower tray).

The hallway is full of light, having had a skylight installed between the bunks and shower room.

There is solid, dark wood flooring throughout the ARK, which has been thoroughly insulated, making it cool in the summer months and warm in the winter.

The roof of the RV/Bus has been raised by 12 inches giving it a beautiful, airy atmosphere and allowing those who are taller to have plenty of head room.

Two large lockers and one smaller one (Bayer) provide plenty of storage underneath the motorhome for tools, bags, and two gas bottles, which supply fuel to the cooker.

All the blackout blinds are throughout with thermal curtains placed within the hallways which separate the living areas, which aid privacy and warmth during the winter months.

The ARK is a Bluebird Aare with a 5.9 turbo diesel Cummins engine with an Allison auto gearbox. It is 11.5m in length and 2.4m wide.

The 50 litre electric water heater is a calorifier (Surecal), which allows for other heating methods apart from electric. It easily provides very hot showers for four.

The ARK has a 175 litre fresh water tank with frost protection. Also installed is a three stage filter with UV light to filter all the water coming in. (Aqua Filter). There is a CBE water gauge to give you plenty of warning as to when you need to fill up the water tank.

There is also a FOUR-WAY camera system installed to help ease parking & driving.

The ARK has an emergency back door, fitted fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors.

There are 7 x 240v plug sockets throughout the ARK and 10 x 12v sockets fitted.

The exterior has been painted with an undercoat and three coats of paint. The majority of the underside has also been painted with an undercoat to protect it from any rust.

This beautifully renovated RV can be easily used for full time living, with a current MOT (no recommendations, issued 24/July 2023) and is currently situated on a CAMPSITE and SORN.

We have applied for Motor-caravan status for the vehicle with the DVLA.
