Full Service History. Two keys. Bought from Leeds VW in May23 on 30,000 miles.
New rear Continental tyres plus front & rear brake pads & discs 3 months ago. (cost £600) Copies of all receipts will be supplied.
An absolute joy to drive, the new model is a huge improvement on the old caddy model – for fuel economy, driving comfort, lower emissions, it does 60mpg on long runs, 50 urban.
ULEZ compliant / Euro 6
Excellent condition all round, no scratches, scuffs, dents, rust on the bodywork. (the ply floor is a bit scuffed, I’ll sand and recoat before the sale, it could probably do with a vinyl floor)
Barn doors at the rear. Sliding doors on both sides.
VAT is included (I’m a vat registered sole trader and bought the van including VAT so have to pay VAT to HMRC when selling it). You’ll get a VAT receipt. So if you’re vat reg you can reclaim 20% of the price.
All receipts for servicing, new brakes and all the conversion parts and work will be provided.
If you have any questions, want more photos or a Facetime/Zoom video call to explore the van, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
I’m in Gateshead, near the Angel of the North. Happy to deliver anywhere in the UK providing you can deliver me to a mainline train station to return home. Please get in touch if you’d like to discuss this.
The van itself is worth around 22.5k, I’ve spent around 4.5k converting it, the majority on the pull out bed and the Jackery electrics. Selling reluctantly because I need a different vehicle for a disabled parent.

Conversion Description

STEALTH & OFF GRID. Converted for multi use – camper van + day office + lugging stuff.
Insulated with Kingspan and recycled bottle insulation & sound deadening was attached prior to insulation.
Electrics – a Jackery 1000pro portable power pack. Charged 6 times max/ lifecycle is 500. ‘plug and play’ and portable – use in shed, garden or powercut.
TOTALLY INDEPENDANT of the VW electrics. Charge in the house, with the van battery when driving or by solar panel.
Plug in – 3x 12v plugs, USB a,b,c and 12v.
Lighting – led touch ceiling light, reading light by the bed, led strip light above sink.
2 usb sockets by the bed and desk/sink.
Sink and tap – rechargeable tap (charge lasts weeks), drains into container, sink with lid.
Bed – hexa ply storage unit specially made by Escapade Joinery and based on Plyguys ‘Torridon’. 1700mm long, (with 400mm space to extend length if required to 2100mm) width between 650-1000mm. Big pull-out rear draw takes 40kg and can also be used as pull out cook/work station. The front part is storage ( at the mo, Jackery is in there with space for food, clothes etc)
The van layout is adaptable and modular, not full of tiny awkward laminated cupboards. I wanted space so it can be a van that’s useful for moving lots of stuff but can also be a comfortable day van and camper. Everything can be unscrewed, it’s not full of glue like some vans ! (If and when repairs to the van are needed, a mechanic won’t need to rip the conversion apart). All the storage, the handmade hooks etc are plywood treated with Osmo or painted. The white storage walls are Ikea Skaddis with a range of movable hooks, clips, containers etc, that all come with the sale.
When away I use the ply hooks with bags for clothes and food etc, with webbing to hold them back. This means the van isn’t full of ‘stuff’ when I’m using it day to day and there’s room for my work equipment, laptop etc.
The bulkhead and it’s steel bar have been left in, with a hole for access and security (with a neoprene blind that lifts up and down). For safety (risk of being rear ended and all the furniture and contents shoot forward) and the extra wall space it provides plus it’s ‘stealth van’ look through the front windows. The bulkhead is easily removed (bolts) if required.
A Fiamma roofvent is ready to fit if the buyer wants it. I open the window a bit for ventilation, trims are on the front windows so noone can see that the window is open. I’ve not been able to decide whether to fit it.
I thought I’d also fit rear windows to make driving easier but there’s no need, the mirrors and sensors are enough. The lack of windows makes it v stealthy and also easier to keep cool in the summer. I also don’t like loads of curtains, they get in the way, blow around, take up space and look like a campervan.
A Portapotti comes with, if you want it. With a fabric bag to cover it and carry it. It’ll be thoroughly cleaned and bleached, it’s hardly been used.
I’ll supply photos and info to show how the van was converted, so you’ll know exactly what’s behind everything, what’s attached to what, where battens and wires are, what materials and components were used. All receipts for everything in it will be supplied. It’s been a labour of love. I’ve had help from pro convertors, electricians and joiners. I’ve owned 3 vw campervans before this one, so have some experience and knowledge.
Why am I selling ? Because my children have flown the nest and I thought it was time to own a camper van then my Dad lost his driving license and is disabled and I quickly need a different kind of vehicle. It’s why I’m selling at this price (van value is £22,500 with £5,000 worth of stuff inside)
Photos of the conversion will also be provided. Plus all relevant receipts.
Please get in touch if you have questions at all or would like a video call. For anyone within an 80mile radius of Tyneside I’m happy to meet near you so you can take a look at it. For anyone further afield, please get in touch

Beds Description

Fixed bed is 1700mm long. There’s also an extra 200mm by the rear doors and 400mm space between the bed and bulkhead at the other end if you need more length. The length of the load area is 2150mm.
It’s 650mm wide and can be extended to a width of 1000mm. Underneath is a heavy duty draw which is 900mm long and capable of taking 40kg of weight. At the front end is a cupboard (ref. photos). The cushions and the wool fabric covering are fire retardant. Cushion covers were hand sewn by my Mum (!)
