This ex police Ford Transit Connect Hightop, has been well looked after over the years.
Since we have had it, we’ve had a fuel injector replaced, the fuel tank emptied and cleaned, new back door handle and lock mechanism and recently rust treatment along the sills. We also have a huge pile of paper history that came with the van, from its police days!
During the conversion, we added a roof window and vent, fitted a 110 leisure battery that’s connected up so it charges whilst you drive. It does have 240v socket that works when connected to camping electricity however we have never needed to use it! There’s 4 usb sockets, spot lights, working waterpump and sink, plus a fridge that can go down to -5!
We’ve built a bed, with pull out slats to convert a snug double, with a large pullout drawer to access storage and the fridge. (Both of those can also be accessed without pulling out the drawer). There’s a little fold down table/shelf for the camping stove, which will be included along with a large gas bottle that’s 80% full!
This little van has 5 cupboards for storage, one below the sink, one above the sink, two in the side cupboard that works 2 ways with the right hand side van door, plus a large overhead cap cupboard for pillows/blankets etc.
We will be including everything we bought for the van, water containers, cooking equipment, fridge, seat covers, roof racks, pillows and black out window coverings.
One small note to make, the roof rack likes to whistle when you hit 73mph! Doesn’t effect the drive, it just might be a deal breaker for someone!
We have had many lovely surfing trips and weekends away in the van and will be sad to see it go. We are expecting our first child, so unfortunately it will no longer be suitable for us to use.
Viewings strongly advised, please let us know of any questions. Based in Gloucestershire.
