Renault Master SWB. Off-grid, new professional conversion

‘Honey’ is the latest campervan from Holly’s Campers. She was designed around one of our rental vans ‘Bee’ which was the most rented campervan on Quirky Campers in 2023, but with an updated layout and look.

She started life as a wheelchair accessible vehicle through the Motability scheme so was used as somebody’s car, not a work van.
We have fully stripped out the rear area and then re-built her as a one of a kind, off-grid campervan. She has had sound deadening, UltraTherm foil-faced foam insulation, topped with 100mm recycled plastic insulation, then our ‘signature’ cladding which is more ‘art project’ than traditional cladding. Then finished with a top spec off-grid electrical system and flexible living space.

LIVING AREA
Honey has a U-shaped rear seating area that easily converts into a double bed, 130cm wide and 182cm long. There is also a removable table for dining, or working (if you must!).

The side benches have lift up lids with plenty of storage and the Thetford 345 portaloo toilet is stored at the rear. There is also an additional seating area backing onto the cab area, so even when the bed is made up, there is still a seating area and full access to the kitchen.

There is an Eberspacher diesel heater, plumbed directly from the vans main tank if it starts to get chilly.

There are roll down thermal lined blinds to the side windows, a roll down blind between the cab and living area and an external windscreen blackout blind.

KITCHEN
Honey’s fully functional kitchen has a beautiful handmade sink, with a copper pipe tap, fed from the 23L onboard water tank and an induction hob set into the wooden worktop. There is also a 45L top opening compressor fridge to keep your food and drink, fresh and cold and a Maxxfan Deluxe ceiling fan for excellent ventilation.

OFF-GRID
She has been designed to be a fully off-grid capable van, but also works perfectly on campsite hook up.
There is a 200ah Renogy lithium battery with a remote display screen showing the current battery level and full details of the power going in and out of the battery, a 50amp Renogy DC-DC / MPPT charger, a 2000w Renogy inverter providing 230v power when off grid, a 300w Solar Panel and also a campsite hook up socket with a 10amp charger to top up your battery when on a campsite.

The system is re-charged by the sun via the solar panel, via the alternator when the van engine is running and via the mains charger when on a campsite.

The large lithium battery system provides power to the 4 dimmable ceiling lights, fairy lights, LED lighting, 2 x double USB fast charge sockets, diesel heater, 3 230v plug sockets (via the inverter), the compressor fridge, the 4g+ wifi network and the Amazon Alexa echo pop speaker.
It also provides power to the roof mounted LED lightbar so that this can be used when driving to give excellent visibility in remote areas when it’s dark and also for security when parked up.

EXTERIOR
Honey is finished in Silver/Grey and in very good condition for her age. There are a few age related marks, but overall she’s in above average condition for a 2012 van.

She has super cool map ‘contour line’ graphics, a custom made roof rack for the solar panel & LED roof mounted light bar, a Wild Earth awning which connects to the ‘c’ rail and provides shade or shelter in sun/rain and 5 brand new Maxxis WormDrive All Terrain tyres to keep your adventures on track.

Her current mileage is 89,670 and she has just had a full service and fresh MOT.
