Renault Trafic SL29 2.0 TDCI 115
Renault Trafic SL29 2.0 TDCI 115. Manual – 6 gears. Tailgate.
Registered December 2010 – 120k miles. 10 months MOT.
Van dimensions are Hx2m (excl Vent); Wx2m; Lx5m
The van is a good runner – just back from Galway at Easter (700 mile round-trip). We have had some great adventures in this van including completing the NC500. The van is ready to go on a trip today. We have owned it for 3 years and it’s a great step-up from camping. The kids have used it for festival weekends and getaways as well. I absolutely love the stance of this van; the side running rails make it easier for smaller people to get in/out and also make it look cool.
The only faults I am aware of are that 1) the aircon does not work (both of the front doors have iSpeed wind deflectors allowing them to be open while driving) and 2) the CD player function doesn’t work.

About the Campervan
The van is regularly used for work commutes and as a day-van. In the past we have completed the NC500. Living near Blackpool we have often had local day-trips for fish & chips.
The Quirky layout, is that instead of storage cupboards, the van has an open space at the back which we think gives it more flexibility. The van can also be used to shift large items and we have used it to bring large fridge freezers to the dump or collect large items.
There are no leisure batteries so you need rely on a hookup for power. If we had been keeping this van longer, I would have considered buying an AllPowers R600 Portable Power Station (approx. £250) – there are review videos available on the Internet. If you buy this or similar, don’t forget the cigarette lighter adapter cable.
We use the van as another option when we have visitors. Young nephews and nieces love it.
This van is clean and ready to go for a trip today. I will be sorry to see it go but it just doesn’t suit us anymore.
Awning
The van comes with a Qeedo awning (costs £400 new).
You can search on the Internet for the following awning videos (some are in German but the first three have subtitles or no dialogue):
Qeedo Quick Motor Free (2020) Busvorzelt mit
Qeedo Quick Motor (2018) Busvorzelt
Qeedo Quick Motor (2018) Busvorzelt sekundenschneller Auf- und Abbau
Qeedo Quick Motor im Produktest – Ein super Busvorzelt
Please note, the van does not have an awning rail or fixing-kit. The awning roof is secured to the van by throwing three straps across the roof and then pegging them down over the other side.
