If you are looking for a head turning retro motorhome with bags of living space without too much length then this Winnebago built Itasca may be just what you need. Built in 1979 in the USA and imported into the UK not long after, this 5.7 V8 Chevy runs on unleaded and has been fitted with LPG. This makes it reasonable to run and maintain, with a good parts supply available in the UK.
Upon entering the accommodation from the rear the first thing you notice is how much space and light there is. There is a rear lounge and open plan kitchen and a further sofa with pedestal table. Both oversized sofas easily convert to form two double beds and a further full sized double bed overhead. The overhead bed has ample head height, meaning that you can sit up comfortably. Plenty of daylight is available as this well thought out RV is fitted with 2 large windows in the rear lounge, a huge window in the dining area and a further 3 windows in the overcab bed area. This means you are guaranteed never to be short of a decent view. The RV is fitted with curtains and roller blinds throughout. The original fabric remains and has had a deep clean recently.
The washroom is original and comes with a sink, toilet and shower. The kitchen has a 4 ring gas hob, oven, fridge, sink and extractor fan.
This Itasca has stood the test of time and due to its age is MOT and tax exempt. The LPG system has been recently serviced and updates completed to meet current regulations.
It has character inside and its period interior is in good condition overall with the fabrics showing little sign of wear. Fitted with a tow bar, parts provided for air con unit from previous owner however never installed, wind out awning and a full size spare wheel.
