School bus conversion off grid camper

For sale is my 1984 Leyland Tiger bus. I have lived in this full time for the last 5 years and it’s taken me around France, northern Spain, Portugal and lots of England and wales. The Leyland TL11 engine is bomb proof and so reliable.

The bus has had its roof raised by 14 inches to give ample headroom for even the tallest person.
90% of the wood is reclaimed.
8 24v battery’s all 6 months old (2 for the running of the bus and 6 for the solar)

The solar power has been great even on overcast days I haven’t had any issues.

Super king size bed at the rear.
Sofa folds into a super king size bed.
Large Efel 8kw log burner at the front.
1950’s solid fuel rayburn – this thing is a dream! Managed Christmas dinner in this very easily.
24v diesel Heater under bed.
Loads of storage under sofas and under bed, chest of drawers and wardrobe next to bedroom.
Full size roll top bath.
Instant gas water heater.
Two ring gas hob.
Small dometic fridge.
275 litre fresh water tank underneath
275 litre grey water tank
Celotex insulation in roof
Thick curtains all around
Electric hook up

Engine has been recently serviced.
4 years ago chassis was under sealed
Replaced all 4 leaf springs with brand new ones a couple of years ago.

New tyres on the rear 2 years ago and all tyres have loads of tread left probably 80- 90%
Had the radiator re cored so it’s as good as new.

Rebuilt the steps into the bus and had a rear corner panel manufactured and replaced as it was a bit dented.

Some dials don’t work on the dash and neither do the driver heaters.

Smokes a bit when started in cold weather but clears once engine is warm.

One or two scrapes and dings in the body work but that’s probably expected for a massive 38 year old school bus!

Massive webasto diesel heater fitted but I have never tried using it.

This would be great to live and tour in or parked up permanently to live in or use as a holiday let.

Averages 12 mpg on the motorway and 7-8 mpg around town

Really sad to be selling this amazing bus but it’s time to start another project
