Conversion Description

We are selling our beautiful handmade conversion, Skye. We lovingly built during 2020-2021 and she has spent her time since on adventures through Scotland, the Alps, Spain and Scandinavia. Now looking for a loving new family for new adventures, suitable for both summer, winter exploration and living full time van life.

The van was built for both warm and cold climates in mind and to be off-grid for as long as possible, even in winter. We fitted a bulkhead and every wall, the floor and ceiling has a minimum of 25mm insulation board. It is so efficient and cosy.

We built this simple home on wheels with maximum comfort in mind, with both a living room area and bedroom area that has a fitted projector it feels like it has multiple rooms. We have put the latest battery technology in with 200ah LifePO4 (Lithium Phosphate) batteries that are charged from 600w of solar on the roof and a smart dc-dc charger when the van is being driven. You will never go without power in this van due to the massive size of solar and the dc-dc charger as a backup which charges the batteries when you’re driving.

To continue the functional yet reliable build ethos, we built a 65cm x 65cm wet room which houses the composting toilet which can be moved out for when you want to shower. For this we use an electric shower and a folding water tank that we fill with a few litres of water to shower with, it all packs away neatly out of the way after showering and becomes a wet room again to dry clothes or wet gear in. The shower sits directly above the 75L grey water tank which the kitchen sink also feeds in to and this is emptied from a tap on the outside, underneath the van.

A large kitchen sink with a single cold water tap from a 75L water tank that sits under the bed and a single Dometic gas burner sits in the kitchen with an extending counter top and 6 cupboards above and below the kitchen counter for storage of plenty of food and a 65L Dollenda fridge/freezer, more than enough space for food for multiple weeks on the road.

The storage extends to above the cab with a slimline but very deep storage section, a massive cupboard above the living room seating with a small open shelf on the wall. Finally in the bedroom you have 6 small cupboards behind what is the projector screen (cupboard door) and a large shelf that sits beneath that which we housed a large full-size keyboard. Finally under each bench has a large storage area and there are two individual storage slide out cupboards on the benches against the bulk head. Under the bed you will find you have room for 2 very large boxes to put in adventure gear and storage to the side of the water tank.

You will find a 2kw Lavaner Pro diesel heater fitted under the bed that feeds hot air under the bed in to the garage area and in to the living area next to the shower/wet room floor. This can be controlled from a panel that is at the end of the bed.

Below the main living room seating you will find 2 pull out draws and a large storage chest under each seat, a huge amount of room for footwear, outdoor gear or any large items you may have.

Below we will list everything in the van we have fitted individually.
