Insulated with multi layer loft insulation. Wood battens bonded to van body using Sika flex. Cladding pine tongue & groove fly board treated with HR PROF fire retardant coating, Prior to paint with water based quick drying varnish. The leisure batteries are charged from the main engine battery via a Sterling battery to battery charger fitted with both alternator and leisure battery temperature sensors. Campervan 12volt system is powered from leisure batteries with all systems fused from 12volt fuse box located at rear of van. The inverter has a remote on switch (that powers a relay that turns inverter on and off) located next to the inverter socket. The 12volt lights are led for lower consumption and cooler running. There are bedside lights with switches and a separate 12volt socket on each side of bed for mobile phone charging.
The bed has a custom metal frame, that is removable so the van can move larger objects as a van. The bed headboard is also removable.
Underneath the kitchen unit there is a floor gas vent.
Both the drivers and passengers seats swivel to face the rear. The handbrake has been converted using a lowering kit to allow the drivers seat to swivel.
The sliding door has been replaced with a replacement door that is sold. (Sprinters are notorious for rotten sliding doors)
Full size 4’6″ x6’3″ (1.35meters x1.9meters) Double mattress. Bed permanently in place.
