OVERVIEW: Thanks for taking the time to read this. This fun van is a 2018 Peugeot Boxer 335 pro L3H2 Blue HDI , LWB high roof. With its strong reliable engine, the engine is a euro 6 so that means low emissions , the camper can drive anywhere without fear of any charges, as more and more places become ultra low emission zones.โจ Economic to run with 6 gears, drives like new and being turbo pulls like a train, itโs like driving a saloon car with an excellent and unrestricted view of the road. It has 2 very comfortable front seats with the passenger seat having the option to swivel! And comes with an extra foldable seat that locks secularly into its place for any additional road trippers! Itโs in fantastic condition as can be seen from the photos and is considerate of its usage so has been priced fairly. โจAll around photos so you can zoom in and see Harlequins full glory for yourself. โจItโs just been serviced and was fitted with new brake pads this year. โจHarlequin has electric windows, fully integrated steering wheel with phone bluetooth connectivity, excellent sound system, reversing camera and sensors, cd player, the vehicle also has cruise control and is a joy to driveโจ, especially on those long journeys!
SEATS & BEDS: Iโm 6ft 3in tall and this memory foam double bed has been an excellent, comfortable resting place to sleep in for both myself and my girlfriend. The front cab curtains and tinted windows are so good at blocking out the light it was hard to know what time of day it was!! There is an optional 6ft4in bed underneath the sofa which can be fitted with collapsable legs. The sofa, in addition to the swivel seat means that you can hang with 4-6 friends in comfort as you plot the next scene over a hot beverage. And if you want to enjoy a bottle there is the mounted antique, clown-face bottle opener.
SAFEโจ: All safety measures have been carried out with care and diligence. Has a sealed gas bottle safety box with with refillable SafeFill cylinder with drop vent for the rear garage compartment, installed all the correct regulators ventilation drop outs (floor vents), pipes ,wiring and fuse boxes and consumer unit, gas work has been inspected, signed off and comes with a new gas safety test certificate. โจIt also comes fitted with a new CO2 & Smoke alarm along with a fire extinguisher.
As mentioned above, 10% of the money you invest for this van is promised to go to the UK Charity- Dads Unlimited. This is a part of an ongoing charity project and documentary on health, which is the sole reason for selling Harlequin; to afford the continuation of this project.
I bought this newly converted van two years ago on this website and I’m glad I did!
In the last two years I have used the van for two adventures:
2023 (a four month trip): UK – The Canary Islands – UK.
2024 (a four month trip): UK – Hungary – Portugal – UK.
POWER: We never needed to plug into mains! This is because the two roof-mounted solar panels consistently fed the lithium batteries with plenty of energy. The batteries hold their charge well but they also charge whilst the van is on the move so the fridge, power sockets for any of your gadgets (we we’re filming a documentary which meant the power fed our laptops, phones, lights, wifi, heater and water pump but also multiple, large batteries that needed recharging in-between shoots) with ease. This basic requirement meant that we could be more adventurous and journey into more remote areas with peace of mind that we could power our work and adventures.
SPACE: Many other van-lifers expressed their envy when admiring how spacious the interior is. A huge garage, big voids underneath the sofa, over-bed lockers and more over head storage in the front of the vehicle. A dog and his belongings, a kettlebell, a drum kit, surfboards, wetsuits, his and her clothes, books, gadgets, camera equipment (which belonged to another friend who didn’t have space for it in his van)… this list of large items goes on. You also have the option of spinning the front passenger seat around, opening up even more space and access. Point? This van is a delight to hang out, do work and cook nourishing meals in.
AESTHETIC: The van was professionally wrapped before setting off in 2023. Its playful character has brought many smiles and waves which brought more connection and positivity to places we journeyed through. The wrap protects its original paint work from weather so if you do chose to unwrap it, you’ll find a gift with a fresh gold surface. Come snow or sun, Harlequin always brings playful vibes. The interior wasn’t just designed with plenty of storage. It was upgraded to ensure the spaces were cosy, whilst inspiring creativity. We wanted a space that was efficient, different and unique and this is what you’re buying. Speaking of protection; the sturdy rogue alloy wheels coupled with BF Goodrich All Terrain tyres meant we travelled on pretty much every terrain and weather (except lava) without any issue. Both a fun looking and solid van.
ADDITIONAL SUPPLIES: As for efficiency, the 25l clear-water tank provided us with at least 5 days of water. It’s conveniently placed under the sink meaning that you don’t need to wait in line at filling stations. You can top-up from public fountains, water points and embrace the love of the people who kindly share their water in those moments you want a fresh refill. Easy. As easy as the porta-poti located under the bed which is easily accessed. The windows are double tinted with blinds for added privacy. The Projector mount and cinema screen is included for those snug-down days, so along with the wifi router, you can enjoy one of the comfiest and adventurous cinema experiences in your van! There is also a power drill, tool box and full jerry can, art, a moka pot, kettle, pots, pans, plates, bowels, two fire extinguishers, a safe, two sets of van keys + deadlock keys and a full tank of diesel held in this epic van – so you’re ready to go!
Harlequin has kept us comfortable and cosy through the European winter (-12C) and cool and breezy in scorching summer (+40C).
โจItโs also great investment, as these vans can hold their value and can be rented out for up to ยฃ1000 per week plus in high summerโจ!
