*REDUCED* Spectacular Sprinter - Professional Conversion

Ike was lovingly converted in the summer of 2020 to the highest standard by myself. An obsessive professional campervan converter that takes great pride in crafting every minor detail of the conversion. From handmade ash cupboard handles to bespoke pivoting wine glass holder. There won’t be many conversions out there with this attention to detail and craftmanship throughout. There are even solid sapele handmade speakers in the back of Ike which form part of the two channel stereo system. One thing that really stands out from other conversions is the feeling of spaciousness without lacking any of the essentials and luxurious you need in a campervan. You can walk from the kitchen to the lounge, front to back of the van, with the impression of a small roaming home instead of a van. This is partly due to two generous 1.9m benches that can comfortably seat 6 adults which turn in to the bed. Let’s get back to the conversion core features though.

Kitchen

The conversion features a spacious beautiful kitchen with solid walnut worktops, a three ring gas burner and oven, a large black sink, 50 litre dometic compressor fridge / freezer. I love cooking and so I built the kitchen with plenty of room to cook fantastic meals and not feel cramped. Bespoke features include solid walnut fronted drawers, wine glass holder made with wine corks, letter box slot for walnut chopping board and a built in wine rack. There are also dimmable LED lights providing beautiful mood lighting in the kitchen. There’s plenty of kitchen storage too for a well equipped kitchen and plenty of food.

Sleeping

A luxuriously large double bed is made out of the two long benches at the back of the van. The lounge turns to bedroom by simply pulling across slats to form a massive double bed. 1.9m long by 1.6m wide. Cushions are made using quality high density foam that provide comfort and longevity. There are two brass reading lights, usb charging point and small drinks shelves all by the bed.

Shower

Small room with a view, the internal shower boasts a gorgeous brass opening yacht window so provide some ventilation and a view when you’re washing in the steaming hot shower. The shower is lit by hidden LED lights under the handmade Mexican tile trim.

Heating

A standout feature in Ike is the 2kw log burner housed on top of it’s own little log store. Nothing creates cosiness like a log burner and this just requires one or two small logs burning to get the van lovely and warm. The burner is surrounded by deep green pastel tiles to keep the heat from any combustibles. There’s also a 4kw Whale LPG heater for when you don’t want to make a fire.

Water

A 75L underslung fresh water tank provides the kitchen sink and shower. Also underslung is a 50 litre grey water tank. Hot water is powered by an Underslung Whale Expanse water heater. This get’s 15 litres of steaming hot water ready in around 10 minutes.

Gas

Providing the hobs, oven, LPG heater and water heater the underslung LPG tank and system was professionally installed by Propex. The 25 litre LPG tank has an onboard controller and monitor showing the gas level and enables you to switch the gas supply off inside the van for driving. It’s a brilliantly efficient system with a full tank lasting up to 9 months with medium usage. Cost to refill tank never more than £12.

Electrics

Two x 260w solar panels keep the battery topped up with ample power throughout the year.
