Our pride & joy is for sale! This is a very regrettable sale as we’re moving back to Australia and have only just finished off our project.
It’s completely ready for long and short adventures. There is room for your personal touch or leave it as is and simply enjoy this complete custom build. Creating a functional, relaxing, and inviting space was at the core of this build (built by a mechanical engineer and student-interior designer). The build has been a substantial investment. We have £2700 in physical receipts but have spent much more than that on just the fit-out. Some features:
Interior, bed & storage:
– Walls and roof are pine cladded with protective coating
– Floor insulation – bubble foil and 24mm of insulation foam
– Wall insulation – bubble foil and insulation wool
– Roof insulation – bubble foil and 12mm insulation foam
– Fitted with Ikea rack for multipurpose storage
– Slide out slat style bed – 120cm wide x 190cm long with 16cm foam mattress.
– 3 large drawers for storage under the bed
– Dometic Mini Heki skylight
– High traffic area vinyl floor
Electrics
The electrics area has been positioned out of the way to create maximum working space for the van (the bottom corner behind the driver’s seat), however, it has been smartly designed to be readily accessible and maintainable. Some features:
– Advanced AGM LPX110 Leisure Battery 110ah 12v
– CTEK D250SE fully automatic, 5 step charger that supplies up to 20A of power to charge, condition and maintain any 12V lead acid service battery from 40-300Ah, including Wet, MF, Gel, AGM. EFB and Ca/Ca. Can accept solar/wind power as well
– Mains power hook up with 2 x power outlets
– 12-way fuse box
– 4 x Touch sensitive lights
– 3 x 12V socket outlets
– 2 x USB power outlets
– On/Off power switch for all electrics
– Switch panel for lights, fridge, water pressure etc.
– Spare cables run throughout out the van to the switch panel for any additional functions you wish to install.
Kitchen
– Fridge, 12V, Adventuridge in slide out drawer
– 2 x burner gas hob – Gasland Chef GH30SF
– Gas bottle and sealed gas box. Vents outside of the car through the floor.
– Sink and microswitch tap. Water is pumped using a submersible whale pump. Power supplied at switch panel.
– 10L freshwater tank and 10L wastewater tank.
– Fold out multi-purpose bench (best used for beers in my experience!)
– Separate collapsible table that is stored above the electrics compartment
Van, mechanicals & history
– 102k miles on the clock
– Regularly serviced
– Mainly driven for day trips on the weekend

– Two new front tyres
– New nearside track-rod end and link bar
– New nearside rear coil spring
– Rear brakes and brake pipes recently replaced
– Gearbox reconditioned by Geartech Midlands at 96k miles (£1266). Receipt available.
