Equitrek/Star trekka
This is an Equi-trek horse box trailer, its model is Star-Trekka
It’s only 7 years old, the under side is in perfect condition.
It’s never been in an accident.
Because it’s a triple wheel base it’s a dream to tow and never snakes on the motorway like a caravan can.
We’ve had it serviced every year by our local garage Finlandya but unlike motorized vehicles you don’t have a manual to stamp.
We bought this Equi-trek trailer 5 years ago and converted it ourselves. The trailer had never been used for horses so was super clean and had been used briefly for an athletes mobile injury unit ..
I designed everything myself. It’s a thing of beauty but sadly need to re-home it for various life changing reasons.
Had many great times in this and the fact you can unhitch it and use your car when reaching your destination, unlike a motorhome/camper, is amazing.
There are a few marks on the kitchen worktop and dining table, which seems unavoidable in a working kitchen/living area.
I’ve re-varnished and
L shaped sofa which easily turns into a king size bed
Bunk beds, with lighting and windows
Windows all have internal covers with poppers to black out at night.
Hobbit wood burner, twin wall flu, flu cap which can be removed and covered over for traveling and to lower the height.
Lots of storage under the beds
Lockable over head cupboards
Leather hammock storage above sofa/bed and at the ends of both bunks
Wood store and more space under the wood-burner
Three huge solar panels, can be totally off grid, we spent 2 months in the Portuguese mountains without mains and we also run another full size fridge off the solar.
12v/240v inverter
Two Rolls solar batteries
Two 13amp exterior electrical sockets
Exterior mains hook up
High amp Andersen connector which if you have fitted to your car or van allows you to charge the solar batteries whilst driving.
Thirteen pin euro connector for the trailer lights and brakes, which is standard to all modern caravans.
The kitchen unit is on a pivoting arm which swings/rolls out onto the ramp/platform
Cooker with three gas hobs and 1 electric for hook up only (like new)
Gas oven and grill (like new)
Fridge/freezer (like new)
Sink with electric tap
It has a two bottle LPG gas system which can be filled at a petrol station.
Gas Outdoor shower, which is luxury and we’ve thoroughly enjoyed using it in all situations.
There’s two exterior gas points for the shower, a BBQ or anything else running on LPG
A round oak dining table with two different sized legs for various uses.
Three places on the floor for the table to be moved around.
One on the platform, one where the sofa is and one when the bed is made so you can still sit at the table if necessary.
A floor to ceiling shelving unit with bungee rope to keep everything in place when traveling.
The ceiling inside is curved to create a Gypsy caravan feeling.
The ramp becomes a platform and adds an extra wing to the main trailer, with a purpose made awning.
USB/Electric sockets throughout
Dimmable lighting
Reading lights
Smart TV, we only used it for plugging our apple TV box and DVD player into.
The ramp has two attachable legs to create the platform, because the ground can be uneven other bits of wood need to be wedge under the feet.
The awning is simple and easy to put once you know how to.
It also comes with three stripped young pine tree poles which hold up the front of the roof and are then ratchet strapped down with heavy duty wrought iron peg/stakes.
Last but not least we put a cat flap in and made a canvas ramp thing for our kitten when we went to Portugal
Everything in working order and ready for off
L shaped sofa on one end which becomes a king size bed
fixed bunk beds on the other end.
All with memory foam mattresses
