Betsy the Beast is a beautiful quirky converted van full of lots of character and has been converted to a beautiful finish! She’s perfect for anyone looking for full time living or for someone looking to make trips to some beautiful remote places.

The previous owner invested a lot of money into making this van mechanically excellent and in the last 18 months we have had the following work done to keep her well-maintained
– New alternator belt
– New exhaust gas recirculation valve
– New starter motor
– New ignition key switch
– New front headlights (confirmed by MOT work)
**Upfront issues**
The battery light is currently on however there are absolutely no issues with the battery system. We have had the battery, alternator and body control unit fully tested (BCU) by two separate auto electricians with the results coming back that the BCU is incorrectly sending a signal to the dashboard. It’s really a non-issue and I’m happy to provide paperwork to confirm this and you’re more than welcome to test the battery is charging correctly when coming to view the van.
There is also a scratch on the passenger side of the van (please see photo in the advert).

Reason for sale:
She was originally purchased for a 3 month trip around Europe but due to a change in work circumstances this was not possible and we’re just not getting the use out of her that she deserves.
The Beast is a beautifully converted van with a lot of love put into keeping her well maintained, both mechanically and internally, to ensure she’s ready for the next adventure.
β¨Kitchen:
The van holds a beautiful kitchen with a made to measure wooden dresser including:
– A two-hob gas cooker top
– A small ceramic sink with a 12v pump and tap (Blue water pumped in from the garage, Grey water is funneled out to the back of the van)
– Plenty of cupboard storage with 2x drawers for kitchen utensils
– Matching storage cabinet attached to the wall above
– 12 v Fridge which is build in under the bed to the left of the counter top
β¨Power:
The van is powered by 1x solar panel location on the top of the van which is connected to 1x inverted and 2x leisure batteriers with plenty of life left in them. This powers 4 USB charging points (2 by the bed and 2 by the lounge seat), as well as the 12v fridge, the 12v water pump to the sink, and the above head lighting. The van also comes with an electric hookup set.
β¨Insulation:
The van is insulated throughout to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. We have taken her out in all seasons.
β¨Bedroom:
The bedroom area includes a fixed in bed, accompanied by a mesh underlay to prevent moisture in colder months and a 6ft “Emma” mattress which is incredibly comfortable. Above the bed in a sky light/vent which allows for extra light and ventilation in the van.
β¨Bathroom:
The bathroom cubicle currently holds a Thetford “Porta Potti” chemical toilet. We don’t currently have a shower in this area, but there is a drain at the bottom which would allow for a shower to be installed and used within the value, if required.
β¨Seating:
As you enter the van, there is a comfortable lounge seat which can be converted into a second single bed. This area also holds a small fold out table and more over head storage. The two passenger seats also rotate to create more seating for when you’re parked up somewhere a bit longer and required the extra room.
β¨Windows and lighting:
There are 4 installed windows throughout the van, two blacked out windows on each side of the van and 2 frosted windows on the back of the van. There are 10 downlights in the ceiling of the van conversion.
Build in double bed with “Emma” mattress. We also have a fold out bench which converts the lounge seat into a second bed. This is included in this sale.
