Detailed Information
Vehicle Description

Self build short wheel base, mid roof camper. Low mileage, 5 speed manual, 2.2L diesel (well known for being one of the most reliable engines).

Since we bought the van, it has had a new starter motor, ignition barrel, oil pressure switch, rear light lenses and welding. It’s recently had a full service including oil, coolant and all filters. These vans are known for their reliability with known issues around rust – this particular example is solid underneath (as the MOT history will show, not many original panels are left as most have now been replaced, including all wheel arches, inner & outer sills and inner & outer steps, all on both sides). All surface rust on body panels was treated a year ago when it was repainted.

The van will have a fresh MOT within the next week so will be able to be driven away.

Conversion Description

We purchased this van early last year and have spent that time refurbishing and enjoying time away. This van is part converted, ready to go but with potential for improvements. We have built this camper over the last year but unfortunately finances are preventing us from finishing our campervan. This is where we are up to…

– Insulated using recycled polyester and vapour barrier
– Windows on both sides and both rear doors
– Repainted in two-tone green and cream
– Fully fitted kitchen and bed using high quality materials
– Patterned, made to measure cushions
– Sink and hob installed
– Multiple storage areas, all stretch carpeted
– Laminate flooring
– Real pine windowsills
– Made to measure curtains
– Cab resprayed black for more modern look
– Comfortable single passenger seat installed

And this is what still needs to be done…

– Install electric (solar panels and leisure battery included, needs wiring and electrician sign off)
– Install gas (hob, regulator, pipes included, needs a gas box installing and then connecting to electric)

So, the van can be used immediately but there are still improvements which can be made. We are gutted to have to sell our camper, but we can’t afford to get it over the line and then insure it. We hope that someone else can enjoy him.

Beds Description

U bed, planned to have a telescopic table which can be lowered but have not got round to installing. Will include with sale, temporary solution currently in place. Storage underneath all sides of the bed. Made to measure cushions included.
