Mitsubishi
*Main address in Pembrokeshire however we travel between here and Devon fairly regularly so posting the ad in the middle as we may be able to travel for a serious buyer.
The van is a Mitsubishi Canter Fuso 2006. it has a 5 geared, 3L engine.
It has been 100% reliable for the time that I have owned it. It has 118K miles on the clock, which is considered low for this engine – being a small truck these vehicles are hardwearing and built to sustain commercial use. The truck comes with 12 months MOT.
Up for sale is my Mitsubishi Canter house truck. This van began its life as a curtain sider, which was converted over three years ago into a unique cedar-clad house truck. The van is a pleasure to drive and is registered as a 3.5 ton vehicle, which means it can be driven on a normal car license.
The van is incredibly spacious, and fully set up for comfortable off grid living. It has had a full refurbishment for the sale, and many of its features are new, or nearly new.
The van has been used as my live in vehicle for myself and my 2 daughters and is currently set up with a double bed and a children’s bedroom beneath it. The lower bedroom is a large useable space that could easily be adapted to suit different needs.
The structural conversion:
The main box is solidly built around the original curtain-sider frame. It is cedar clad – a highly durable and well suited outdoor wood – which is followed by a breathable membrane and insulation – 50mm for the walls, 75mm for the celling. The van features two large, openable port-hole windows, a bedroom sliding window, and large living room windows. All windows are constructed from toughed glass. The back is constructed of GRP board and is fitted with a bike rack that is capable of carrying up to 2 bikes. The van is well ventilated with passive vents throughout and 12v fans under the beds.
The interior:
The van is remarkably spacious, and is kitted out with many, many features, including:
– U-shaped seating area which converts into a spare double bed. This has had new upholstery for the sale
– Uniquely built kitchen
– Rinnai instant gas water heater
– 80L Under-slung water tank with Sure flow pump.
– Thetford triplex oven, grill and hob
– Loads of useable storage space from custom built units.
– Custom made island table. This table hangs on the wall when not in use.
– Bedroom/ under bed area – currently fitted with two children’s beds with storage underneath.
– Glastonbury stoves wood burner.
– Bluetooth Bose Soundsystem, complete with subwoofer.
The electrical system
– 2 x 110ah Leisure Batteries charged by a 400W solar system and a split charge relay (charges whilst you drive).
– 240V Victron Inverter with sockets throughout the van
– Multiple USB sockets
– Dimmable main downlights
– Dedicated kitchen downlights
– Living room, bedroom and under bed light fittings
This van is a truly unique and beautiful conversion, and it is has so much potential, whether as a full-time live-in or for travel. Current circumstances necessitate the sale but I will be sad to see it go.
Please do not hesitate to get in contact if you have any questions, I am also happy to facilitate initial viewings by video.
