Volkswagen T25/T3 Foster & Day RHD
Well he is definitely one of a kind. Built on the desirable chassis of a T25/T3, he was coach built by UK company Foster & Day, they converted around 25 of this type of which we believe 17 survive but only 1 Syncro (4wd) and this is it. He drives lovely with his petrol 2.5 Subaru legacy engine returning mid 20s mpg, (log book has been changed) manual transmission, immobiliser, power steering, fully serviced with new cam belt and water pump, new front discs with paget pads, superflex bushing on front axle, uprated weddle gears in the gearbox, air shocks on the rear, 2 lockable diffs, new syncro wheels and tyres, truck mirrors, tow bar. Loads of history going back to original sales receipt. At 31yrs old he isnt 100% perfect, has a few dings in the aluminium but nothing major.
Foster and day were a reputable conversion company using good quality materials, inside comprises of a seating area with table, which converts to a double bed (foam replaced 2019), kitchen area has a sink with drainer, 4 ring hob, oven and grill, 3 way fridge, lots of storage cupboards and draws , hot water,propex central heating (under 3yrs old), on board LPG tank, fresh and grey water tanks, twin leisure battries, toilet area with shower (previous owners removed the shower tray and toilet, the hose does reach outside for an alfresco shower and to the sink for hair washing etc) portaloo included, but you could refit a cassette toilet if preferred. Led lights, speakers in the back, larger skylights fitted by previous owner after removing the luton window and replacing the frame and aluminium, larger truck mirrors, fuel lagoon windscreen cover, has a fiamma zip awning attached which has all the sides (great for longer trips away) the front seats are captain’s seats.
Double in the luton and the seating area in the back converts to a double bed.
