We are reluctantly selling our beloved โTenzingโ due to a combination of new house and new baby.
Tenzing has everything you need for off grid living, with plenty of Solar, battery, gas and water storage to keep you off grid for a while. (300w solar, 200ah battery, 100l underslung water, 25l underslung gas.)
The build was done with a combination of a professional van converter (RTR campers) and a highly regarded cabinet maker (Timothyluke.co.uk) . This makes for a very high spec van technically, while also giving you a unique and handcrafted feel inside.
Inside, the kitchen has a gas powered oven and grill with a three ring burner above (spinflo triplex). There is also a large 80l fridge with freezer compartment (dometic) a sink and plenty of drawers for storage.
For sleeping there is a full width double bed set longways, giving you a huge amount of room. This can be converted into a u shaped seating area for at least four people, probably more. There is also a double bunk bed section that we have been using for our toddler and would sleep up to a 5 and 7 year old. This could also be used for a very nice dog bed and we use the top bunk for bedding storage.
There is a cupboard below the bunks for storage of a portable toilet and out of the back of the van there is a gas heated hot shower for outdoor showering. There is also a gas heater with digital controls. (Hs2000) and an exterior bbq point.
Electrics. For lighting we have dimmable spot lights in the ceiling and reading lights beside the bed. Double sockets and usb sockets for charging, an inverter for 240v and an external hookup point. A 200 ah battery for loads of storage (it is common to have 100ah) and a single 300w solar panel along with a b2b charger. There is a control panel with gas, water, heater indicators and controls.
On the roof is a maxxfan deluxe for ventilation and some roof bars which we have used a lot for surfboards and bikes.
The bodywork isnโt bad at all, though I wouldnโt describe it as being perfect, but all to be expected.
We finished the conversion of this van last summer and have had some brilliant trips to Norway, Spain, France and Ireland since then. It has been fantastic for camping off grid and we havenโt had to plug it in for power once.
Thanks
