Volkswagen Caddy Maxi – This little van is in great condition and spent its life as a British Gas Van so has been maintained by the company throughout its commission, it has a valid MOT until March 2025 with the latest advisories being completed before my ownership. Timing Belt changed at 111,039 miles along with other items for MOT passing. This VW Caddy has been well looked after by previous owner and myself. The body work does have some stone chips and a few minor scratches, and a small dent under the rear light from its years on the road, but overall has fantastic kerb appeal. It has now retired from being a general van and is now ready for its Van Life adventure.
This Scandi inspired VW Caddy Camper is ready for you to start your Vanlife Adventures. The minimalist design is welcoming and a cosy place to reside. The slide out bed provides comfortable seating during the day and converts into a pleasant snug at night time. Under the bed there is a large storage space running the full length. The leisure battery and inverter are located under the front seats, easily accessible to get your 240v up and running. The kitchen unit has running water and waste storage and ample space for cooking with three large storage compartments. There is also a top mounted cupboard in the kitchen area with even more storage. The side of the kitchen unit provides two USB charging sockets, one 240v socket and a light switch. The LED spot lighting is recessed into the stylish ‘acoustic panel’ ceiling, drawing your eye from one end of the van to the other, complete with central ventilation vent. Above the front seats there is a large overhead storage space, ideal for bedding and clothing items, this also has a large double curtain to separate the driving cab from the rear for nighttime privacy. In the main living space there is another box unit which houses the 18 litre Dometic Fridge/Freezer. The rear doors of the van have two large tinted windows complete with curtains for privacy at night. Both have fold up shelves for cooking outside or to rest a well earned drink, tea or coffee after a long day of activities. The sliding door step is finished with coconut husk mat so you can wipe your feet before entering and as a place to stash wet shoes. The main material for the build is plywood and it’s had an oiled finish, with the wall panels completed in an egg shell paint for durability. The wall panel above the bed has a mountain scape routed into the wood for decoration. The floor is vinyl throughout providing a waterproof surface. The van has been insulated, with a vapour barrier applied before finished with carpeted.
