Full documented Body Resto 2009
Too many parts new and refurbished to list here.
A beautifully preserved and rare Sundial camper ready to go. All the work has been done. Nothing to spend.
The resto was carried out by a professional vintage car restorer in West Wales. Zero rust on the structure of the vehicle. Two small 50p size rust spots on the front door skins. Not structural- mentioning to give complete transparency.
Not showroom condition but A1.
We regularly holiday in the bus as far as Scotland and down to Penzance. Runs beautifully returning 28mpg fully loaded.
We will continue to use until sold.
I am installing a split charge system for summer as we tend to go on the more remote campsites with out electric. This will be concealed in order to retain the character of the van. But allows charging of phones, fridges etc.
Plenty more photos of various work carried out to seriously interested parties.
Blaunpunkt radio is installed with modern internals- wants swapping over to 12v as I had this refurbished when the van was 6v
There are lots of split screens about- cheaper. A good well sorted van costs 30K plus. Because people like myself have spent small fortunes over the years to restore.
I am based in Brecon-Wales, 1 hour from Hereford- 30 mins from Built Wells. An hour from Swansea
I,ll will only sell to someone who comes to look at the van.
I,ll be at a few of the VW shows this year- Starting with Stanford Hall- This is last weekend in April
Sundial is a USA conversion company bourne out of VW restricting the use of the sale of their vans outside of there own factory conversions. A number of converters sprung up rising to the demand this created. The parts were used from the Airstream vans built in the USA at that time. Notice the Unique Aluminium windows. A panel van was imported from Germany to the USA to be used in the conversion
There is above head storage, mini wardrobe, under seat storage, Drop down picnic tables. Even a manual water pump.
The cooler is not electric or gas powered. We use freezer blocks- good for a weekend. Also use a travel fridge on hook-up for longer weeks away.
Rock and roll bed sleeps two adults comfortably- You can get a cot bed conversion to go across the front seats for a child. We use an awning-
I do have the original candy striped canvas awning stored away in my garage
