Vehicle Description

“EOR” (Eeyore) turns heads everywhere he goes with his striking Turkish Blue under Candy White exterior, Candy White bumpers and wheels, having shiny steel hubcaps.

The roof rack came in useful every year for the annual family tree to collect our Christmas tree. The dummy front ‘spare’, with shiny chrome VW roundel, and cab top aluminium and wood roof-rack complement the chrome wing mirrors. Smart clear indicator lenses match the chrome headlamp rings.

To the rear, EOR has a spare wheel on a swinging carrier, high level brake light, fog lamp and subtle Eeyore decal.

There are some visible areas of bubbling as expected with age.

From a driving perspective EOR handles really easily due to direct drive, Danbury fitted, power-assisted steering. The beautiful wooden steering wheel makes it a joy in hot and cold weather. The factory fitted sunroof creates great ventilation on hot days.

Very rare is the matching Candy White dashboard in metal, which gives the cabin a light spacious feel. It has Sony stereo with front and rear speakers playing radio, CD and additional Alpine EZI DAB GO In-Car DAB+ Digital Radio Adaptor & Bluetooth Music Streaming. Also rare is a ceiling fitted DVD player with its sound input to the stereo (powered by the leisure battery).

We took EOR to the outside cinema where the large bay window and great sound quality provided a fabulous experience for us.

We are in the middle of Sussex, just south of Haywards Heath.

Conversion Description

We have loved day trips to the beach with our paddle boards. Warming up with the heater on and the kettle boiling. Many people walking along the boardwalk want to stop and chat about the new version of what they remember from similar campers they have owned before.

Full Danbury factory conversion on first import into UK.

Really comfortable cream, leather seating, with stunning contrast turquoise piping to complement the outside colour. Turquoise stitched ‘Danbury’ motif into both front headrests.

Beautifully fitted with the ‘Rio’ installation which means there is more room inside for storage, and you, because the spare wheel is on a rear frame, outside the van rather than inside. Our trip home from Scotland, where our daughter had completed the North Coast 500 easily with 2 friends, was a joy travelling around Northumberland, out to Lindisfarne and stopping to discover Hadrian’s wall.

The Rio installation means there is plenty of storage, in matching light wood effect, the length of the nearside rear cabin, including a secure cutlery drawer. There is further storage under the bench seat and in large pockets on the rear of the front seats.

The driver’s seat swivels to join the rear seats and so no need for a buddy box. Wabasto heater that is fuelled by the main petrol tank.

The rear 3/4 rock and roll bench folds flat in an instant to create the main bed and the upper bed is on bed boards.

There is a ceiling mounted DVD player with option for external input for an Amazon Firestick or similar with the included adapter. High quality sound through the Sony stereo with remote control. We had a great holiday in Dorset visiting Lyme Regis and parking on the seafront – with rain promised we visited the local charity shops and bought DVDs for £1 and watched them from our bed with a glass of wine.

Double gas hob burner and sink with pumped water feed. Small gas oven under the hob which is virtually unused.

There is a hard wearing and easy clean vinyl floor that has been covered with rubber matting all the time we have owned EOR. Rubber matting to the front cabin.
