VW T4 Transporter - reconditioned engine installed just last year!

This camper van spent last summer touring around Europe, getting as far as Poland. Dry as a bone even with all the rains we’ve had this year. Advisories at last MOT (brake hose and cable): all replaced in April.

New last year:
Leisure battery; 12v wiring; drainage pipe; sink supply hose; cam belt.

The fabulous thing about this camper is that she had a reconditioned engine put in last year! The work was carried out by VW specialists, Sussex Aircooled, Etchingham (all paperwork present). The engine change also included a reconditioned head and turbo. Starts first time even when she hasn’t been driven for several weeks, and she is such an easy drive! And, even though the odometer read 166729 miles at the engine change, the replacement engine will, of course, be much more like a new engine (eg better reliability, less money on repairs etc).

Fridge: gas/mains/12v. 2-ring gas hob. Sink and running water. 12v sockets and internal lights plus mains sockets. Tinted windows at back plus rear side windows. JVC radio. Captains seats at front (passenger seat turns 180). Rock and roll bed: double seating at rear (with two 3-point seat belts) folds out to large, comfortable bed. Area in high top can be used for sleeping – ideal for 2 children or 1 adult. Eye-level storage cupboards, wardrobe (with tambour door), kitchen base cupboards, plus extra space underneath bed. Aerial base on roof with cable in situ inside van. Power steering. Reversing sensor.

A few small rust patches, otherwise body in good condition.

This van is a great size for travelling to far-flung places, yet compact enough for running around town.
