Walter Blue - 4 berth camper van

Thanks for looking at Walter Blue. Fully offgrid family adventure van, which requires no work or setting up when you arrive at the campsite, just get out your chair and relax.

Lot’s of space for a family of 4 with loads of storage and a big boot which will fit all the kids bikes, scooters, boats etc! It has a fully offgrid electrical system, sleeping for 4 (and belted seats for 5) with a clean, natural pretty finish. We love the outdoors so we wanted to bring it into our van!

The details:

Electrics:
The goal of this build was to create a fully-off grid gas free build, allowing you to cook off-grid without LPG/Diesel.

This system gives you 200ah of lithium battery, plenty for your camping needs. You can monitor battery levels via the Renogy app but you have 400w of solar panels on the roof that are constantly keeping the batteries charged. We go camping and never have to worry about the batteries. You can plug the van into mains hookup on a campsite. This would charge start charging the batteries using the Victron Blue Smart charger. Once connected to mains power, the Renogy inverter will then switch from using battery power to mains hookup power. This means you could plug a electric fan heater into the 240v double sockets and it would be using mains power and not your batteries.

Kitchen:
The Kitchen is compact but plenty of room for everything. One side housing a induction hob and massive fridge underneath, which can fit a weeks worth of food for a family inside. Storage above for saucepans and plates cups etc. The other side of the kitchen has the sink with 3 big drawers below. Above the sink is a double cupboard above with shelves.

2 x LED spotlight above the sink (natural white) – dimmable

Cabinetry and storage:
All cabinetry has been hand made with quality plywood (Not to be confused with lesser quality furniture board/melamine). All doors have locks on to keep them shut whilst the van is moving. The kitchen has 3 large drawers all with slow close runners. There is a large garage area with ample floor space to fit all the things you need to bring on your trips.

Water system:
2 x 10L fresh water tanks situated under the sink. This enables you to quickly and easily see how much water you are. To future proof the van, we did install an external filling point if you want to put a larger fresh water tank in the van at any point.
10L waste water tank also situated under the sink.

Ventilation and Insulation:
Ventilation is provided by a Maxxair Maxxfan 350 in the roof around the middle of the van. This fan is fantastic and a must have for van life. It is a fully automated fan and if it senses rain will close automatically. This means it is safe to use at night when you sleep, as if it starts raining it will close, so you van won’t get wet. There is a sliding window by the two rear seats and a sliding window in the bed area. The whole van is sound deadened and insulated with recycled insulation. We have been sleeping in the van and can definitely say you stay cosy and warm in there.

Sleeping:
The mattress is a 5″ memory foam custom sized mattress on the permanent double bed. The base is slatted allowing good ventilation throughout. The second bed is a slightly smaller double and is also slatted for good ventilation.

We have loved this van but a change in life means we have to sell.
