Vaulkswagen T2 Transporter Campervan Bay Window
Our classic ’78 T2 (Penelope Cruiser), this van was stored in mint condition in California for many years, before being transported to the UK. The left-hand drive works well in the UK and allows for easier driving in the UK. We recently travelled to France for 3 weeks and enjoyed the vinyards and campsites.
We’re based in Surrey and are happy to arrange test drives for anyone interested.
The front two seats have been replaced with Porche 911 seats for improved comfort and handling round corners. The 2 litre engine has been kept in great condition, with the alternator replaced in 2022. All of the interior is original, including original fridge. There are signs of wear, but the interior is generally well looked after. A butane heater has been fitted under the rock and roller bed, to keep the van warm for the winter months.
Included in the price is a two-bike bike rack and side awning with stove made by Glawning valued at £800 new.
As a vintage vehicle, Penelope is exempt from road tax and MOT. A full service history is also available on request.
We will be incredibly sorry to say goodbye, but with a new arrival to the family, we are having to look for another camper with provisions for baby seats.
