We bought Woody spring of 2021. After summer adventuring around southwest UK, the winter was spent modifying the interior and updating the mechanics ensuring he’s in top condition (details of updates below). Woody is the perfect off grid camper great for all adventures from cool mountain exploration needing that cozy wood burning stove to summer surf trips. Woody features solar panels providing power to a fridge, water pump, USB charging sockets, overhead lighting, and fairy lights. The kitchen includes a hard oak counter top, large sink, electric tap and double gas hob. Next to the kitchen, the wood burning stove sits atop a storage space for logs and fire equipment and to the side of this we have shelves for shoes. The multi-layered memory foam bed/sofa combo allows you to enjoy the full space of the van creating a sociable space that will cozily fit 4 around a drop down table. There is plenty of overhead storage as well as below the sofa/bed and in two smaller units that double as seats. This van is something special – he’s drawn many admirers from perfect strangers to our nearest and dearest.
We hate the idea of having to say goodbye to Woody, as he has treated us so well over the last few years, however life has us moving out of the UK and therefore we are on the hunt to find him a new home with people that love him as much as we do.
As he stands one could drive off and go straight into an adventure. Woody comes with levelers, cutlery, mugs, plates, bowls, pots, pans, new electric outdoor shower, camping loo, cafetiere, and a small assortment of tools.
This is Woody, our beautiful converted Ford Transit. He features a cozy wooden clad interior, complete with wood burning stove to keep you warm on those cooler evenings. The electrics have been recently upgraded to support and include a water pump, fridge, overhead lighting and fairy lights, 2x usb ports and 12v car socket all powered by a 180ah leisure battery which can be charged either by split relay or by 335W solar panel. The Sofa/ bed provides both a sociable space – comfortably seating 3-4 around a drop down table or 2 pax when in sleep mode. The mattress cover and curtains are all brand new and custom made to fit Woody’s rustic feel. There is ample storage underneath the mattress and overhead as well as storage above the kitchen. Double bed that folds into a sofa set up for a more sociable space. Double layered foam mattress with top layer memory foam. When in bed mode the mattress is perfectly flat (no crease from sofa set up). Sleeps 2 adults comfortably.
