1-4 Months
Hi, I’m Tom – an engineer, designer, and lifelong lover of the outdoors, based in Norfolk. I build bespoke campervans with a focus on quality, comfort, and character. Whether you’re after a minimalist weekender or a fully off-grid home on wheels, I’ll work with you to create a space that mirrors your lifestyle and vision.
With a background in engineering and product design, I bring a detail-focused, problem-solving mindset to every build. Over the years, I’ve converted several vans for myself, friends, and family – and each one has been a little different, tailored to the person (their gear- and often the dog!) it was built for. I understand the practical needs of vanlife because I live it too, and I know how to balance aesthetics with smart storage, durability, and day-to-day usability.
Handling everything in-house, from window installation and insulation to bespoke carpentry, electrics, heating, plumbing, and sanitation, I take on full conversions, part-builds, or one-off projects. I especially enjoy finding creative solutions for space-saving layouts and bespoke requests. Whether you’re starting with a blank van or halfway through a DIY project, I’m happy to help.
When I’m not in the workshop, I’m usually out biking, skiing, or climbing.
The Process
Every build starts with a chat – either in person or online – to understand what you’re looking for and how you plan to use your van. From there, I’ll put together initial sketches and CAD plans to visualise your layout and key features, making sure everything fits your needs and budget.
Once we’ve agreed on a plan and set the dates, I begin the build, keeping you updated along the way with photos and progress reports. My workshop in Norfolk is fully equipped for all aspects of the conversion, and I take pride in craftsmanship, clear communication, and delivering on time.
After the build, I remain on hand for follow-up support, tweaks, or advice – whether that’s a question about your electrical setup or ideas for future upgrades. For me, it’s not just about building vans – but sharing in the adventure, long after you hit the road.
I hope to hear from you soon!
