Studio Vans is a design and build studio based on the Isle of Benbecula, in the Outer Hebrides. We are powering new travel adventures with innovative campervan interiors that are tailored to fit around you. We provide the framework, you customise your fit-out; add, swap and choose everything you need and nothing you don’t. Our fit-outs are versatile to any van (and any plan), so you can reshape your space trip to trip, rearranging your modules for an ever evolving layout on the road. Moving to electric? Minimise waste by taking your lightweight aluminium fit-out with you, move in and out of any van you choose, from diesel to electric.
For founder Rob Hall, starting a campervan company was not just about a love for campervanning – for him, it’s about what campervanning can do for people; how it can improve their lives, and if it’s not stretching things too far, how it could improve the way we treat the planet in general, designing to bring people closer to nature, not destroy it.
A Studio Vans fit-out is made to treasure, created with the finest sustainable materials and care. Our lightweight, modular and infinitely recyclable aluminium frame keeps your van’s footprint to a minimum and sets the bar for the rest of the van. We strive to create spaces that speak of the places and people who shape them, from an open floor-to-module gap to unobstructed windows, inspired by the islands’ vast landscape and big skies, our fit-outs are created entirely by artisans in the Outer Hebrides. A local material that we utilise within our fit-outs is Ocean Plastic; we collect, process and repurpose plastic found on local shorelines into long-lasting products and fit out details, a reminder to protect the places we explore and love.
If you and your van are a wee while away from us, we’ve got you covered. Our modular kits are shippable to any UK location, ready to slot into your empty van. For a full bespoke island fit out, we can collect your van from a UK location to save you the journey.
